I'm going to guess 2) Bit O Honey because at one of the other coffee shops (Crossroads), they make a Bit O Honey latte.

Now I really want to visit Kansas City, HWL. Those sound interesting.
1) Mint Juleps?

It is not a Bit O Honey nor Mint Juleps. Although I have recently bought some mint juleps as a present for my brother who is retiring down to Savannah GA. Originally posted by Quislet, Esq: What old time candy have I recently rediscovered and am enjoying?
<strike>1) Mint Juleps 2) Bit O Honey</strike> 3) Jujubes 4) Mexican Hats 5) Atomic Fire Balls 6) Squirrel Nut Zippers 7) Necco Wafers 8) BB Bats 9) Boston Baked Beans 10) Clark's Teaberry gum

I haven't had Boston Baked Beans candy since I was a kid. I have seen it around and have been tempted to get a box, but haven't yet.

I think I may have had some squirrel nut zippers when I was a kid. My only adult contact ws listening to the band Squirrel Nut Zippers.

Did you know they turned the old Necco factory into condos? You can still get Necco wafers though. I haven't.

Right now I have an Atomic Fire Ball in my mouth. For those who have never had one, you start off tasting a cinnamon flavor. Then suddenly "Yow!"
Your turn Invisible Brainiac.

Thanks Quis! I love cinnamon, I should go try one of those.
I started learning to cook a couple years ago. Which of these was my very first dish?
a) Cream of Squash b) Tuna Macaroni Salad c) Chicken Jambalaya d) Sweet and Sour Pork e) Poached Fish f) Tacos g) Gambas h) Kung Pao Chicken i) Paella j) Sukiyaki

Nope, I only tried the Chicken Jambalaya a few months ago. It's become a favorite though.
And close, but the Tuna Mac Salad was actually my THIRD dish, if I remember right.

My bad...
Sukiyaki was my SECOND dish, and remains a family favorite. My best friends ask for it a lot too.
Only made Kung Pao chicken twice, but it was far from my first.

Getting closer!
Cream of Squash wasn't my first, but it's my most memorable. This is the only recipe so far (aside from a dipping sauce for fish) that she's taught me.
Poached Fish is something I've tried only recently, but my family loves it.
Sweet and Sour Pork was one of my earliest too, but far from the first.

We happened to have some shrimp in the freezer, and the rest is history. Tacos are one of my mom's favorites. I only tried paella earlier this year, for my parents' 25th anniversary. They also had paella on their very first date. You're up!
