As some of you know, I've been a long-standing member of a Christian church. During my 14-year membership, I've held a number of volunteer positions. Which one of the following have I NOT held?
Administrative Council member Chair of the Diaconate Deacon Elder Executive Committee member Finance Department member Food Pantry volunteer Historian Mission Trip volunteer Nominating Committee member Outreach Department member Sunday School teacher

lucky guess. Although I had a feeling that Deacon, Elder, Food Pantry volunteer, Sunday School teacher, and Mission Trip volunteer were all jobs that you would do. Historian just seemed so odd that it probably was something you did. Then it was a guess among the remaining choices.
OK a question from me.
What will I be doing this Sunday?
1. Going to the gym for a session with my trainer 2. Going to see Mary Poppins the musical 3. Going to a party for my brother 4. Going to play D&D 5. Going shopping for a new suit 6. Going to visit a friend who is in the hospital 7. Going to the first class for learning to speak Japanese 8. Going to dinner with some old co-workers 9. Going on a date with a new guy 10. Staying home, reading the Sunday paper, watch some movies, and taking it easy.

You know me too well, Quis (even though we've never met). As for my guess: 3. Going to a party for my brother

4. Going to play D&D
probably not but I want to live vicariously. If even fictionally.

2. Going to see Mary Poppins the musical

He Who wanders also gets it right at the gate.
My brother is retiring and his retirement party is tomorrow.

Speaking of brothers -- as most of you know, my usual username, He Who Wanders, is borrowed from the reboot version of Mon-El, but my brother, during his brief foray into comics as a child, had a different favorite Legionnaire. Which one?
A. Wildfire B. Element Lad C. Star Boy D. Lightning Lad E. Cosmic Boy F. Tyroc G. Timber Wolf H. Matter-Eater Lad I. Ultra Boy J. Bouncing Boy K. Superboy

Ironically, Wildfire is probably closer to my brother's personality than any other character on the list, but no, it wasn't him.

Not Timber Wolf, either. (Though Brin was the favorite of my best friend at the time.)

D. Lightning Lad - my personal favorite.
I think it'd be funny if it was Tyroc - if it turned out that your brother's brief foray into comics coincided with Tyroc's brief foray into the LSH

Xben has it: It was Matter-Eater Lad. I guess my brother liked to eat as much as a kid as he does now. Good thing there wasn't an Alcohol Boy.
