Nope, Elmer really does win in What's Opera, Doc?
And he's blubbering like a baby as he carries Bugs's body towards Valhalla.

I can't remember the name, but is it the one where Bugs (supposedly in his hole and out of sight) goes "I'm kicking the bucket, Doc." Literally kicks a bucket behind Elmer. Elmer goes "Hurray! The Rabbit kicked the bucket." Bugs then grabs Elmer's hands and they dance around singing "The Rabbit kicked the bucket! The Rabbit kicked the bucket!" As Elmer wises up Bugs does give the line "The bucket kicked the Rabbit."

We have a winner!

The business Quislet, Esq describes occurs near the beginning of Robot Rabbit. Elmer is trying to stop Bugs from raiding his vegetable garden, and calls Acme Pest Control for help. They send him a robot exterminator "with an ewectwonic bwain" and the bulk of the cartoon consists of Bugs clashing with the robot.

Over to Quislet, Esq.

OK. Warner Brothers also did a series of cartoons where the characters of books and magazines came to life. In one, Daffy Duck makes an appearance. The question is what song did Daffy sing and which character did Daffy try to save?

I remember he was doing a Danny Kaye character and was singing "Nothing could be feena than to be in Caroleena in the morrrrr-nink."

Whom does he try to save? Hmmm. I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

Well, that is half of it. I might as well give it to you.

He tried to save Little Red Riding Hood. He tries to warn her about the wolf in a scat song.

That's right! "The better to eat you with..."

Keeping with the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies theme, what was the name of the diminutive gangster who disguised himself as an infant to hide in Bugs Bunny's hole?

That is correct.

Back up to you, Quis.

Gee! I better come up with a question to stump Rockhopper Lad or people will think we are in collusion.

Hmmmm........

OK. In the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he tries to help a little penguin go home, where was the penguin's birthplace?

I guess I couldn't stump you with a penguin question could I?

Probably not.

Okay, we'll change this a bit.

An instrumental version of what song served as the opening theme of Davey and Goliath?

I can hear in my mind the dah-dah-dut-dut-dut dut-dut-dut-dah.

Total guess is "Near my God to Thee".

Now I'll go google the answer.

And I was wrong

I'll give a hint which will either make a dead giveaway or will be of no help at all: The show was produced by Lutherans.

I knew the show was produced by the Lutherans and that wouldn't have helped me guess the song. I suspect that if you are Lutheran then that clue will be a dead giveaway.

Matthew is correct. "A Mighty Fortress" was the theme song. The song is attributed to Martin Luther and, in certain musical circles, is very much associated with Lutheranism.

Holy moley. I didn't really expect to be right. I don't know a freaking thing about Lutheranism.

Okay, next question. On the old cartoon 'Godzilla' (you know, the one featuring Godzooky the baby godzilla), the characters traveled around the seven seas on a research ship. What was the name of the ship?

Calypso was Jacques Cousteau's ship

I think I'll need a hint

'Calypso' is actually extremely close in sound to the name of the ship we're looking for.

I thought so.

Hmmmm....... Their ship wouldn't have been the Cousteau, would it?
