Here's a recent classic.
"This is me, masterbating in the shower. This will be the high point of my day. It's all downhill from here."

American Beauty!
(I mean, how many shower-masturbating quotes could there be in mainstream movies, after all?)

A: Where were you last night? B: That's so long ago, I don't remember. A: Will I see you tonight? B: I never make plans that far ahead.
Who are "A" and "B," and what movie do they appear in?

A: Yvonne (Madeleine LeBeau), B: Rick (Humphrey Bogart), and the movie is "Casablanca," my all-time favorite, from 1942.
About which, after Rick sends her home, Capt. Renault (Claude Rains) tells him: "How careless you are, throwing away women like that. Someday they may be scarce." Indeed ...

That's it!
I knew someone would get it right away -- at least three LMBPers have described it as one of their favorite movies...

Real Genius with Val Kilmer. Drake asked the same question on Feb. 8. I answered it then too.

Shows how often I read this thread. Let me try another one:
"I could never be a woman. I'd sit around at home feeling my breasts all day."

Movie reviewer friend in lunch group at L.A. bistro: "It's an earthquake. How strong is it, Harris?" Harris (Steve Martin): "I'd give it a four."

First mug:"That any of your business?" Second mug: "I could make it my business." First mug:"I could make your business my business." Second mug:"You wouldn't like it; the pay's too small."

You ARE a Bogart fan, aren'tcha? The first is gangster Eddie Mars (John Ridgely), the second is Philip Marlowe (Bogie), in "The Big Sleep."
(I think the third line ends "make your business mine." Howard Hawks punched up many of Raymond Chandler's original lines, not that this was needed often, but it added spice and faster pacing to the movie.)
Do try the DVD, folks, which has the original version that was shown to the troops abroad in 1944 and not seen later -- it has more straightforward mystery in alternate versions of several key scenes. Hawks re-shot in '46 to add more of the sensuality and innuendo, making the mystery more digestible and playing on Bogie having wooed and wed Bacall ... but the "who's in the saddle" scene, albeit superb, just wasn't Chandler.
And do remember, I don't mind if you don't like my manners. I don't like them myself. They're pretty bad. I grieve over them long winter evenings. {g}

You might be right about the end of Mars's second line. You're definitely right about the source of the quote. And I agree about the '44 prerelease version. It captures the story of the novel just a hair better than the '46 release version.
Anyway, it's your go, Grey!

Well, no one's chimed in on this one, so I'll make a wild guess: The Big Lebowski?

An inspired guess, but nope. Clue time: Jason Robards said it.
