Ohh, a lot closer. Something else else more recent though. It wasn't that big a hit and didn't have a lot of star power behind it.

OK Here's the quote:
"The first time should be in the back of a buggy with a girl that they think they're in love with."

Here is another quote from the same movie:
"Sometimes it's hard to understand the drift of things. This was a good boy. He'd have been a good man. He didn't get his chance. Death can come for ya any place, any time. It's never welcomed. But if you've done all you can do, and it's your best, in a way I guess you're ready for it."

not even close.
Here are two more quotes from the movie.
"Slap some bacon on a biscuit and let's go! We're burnin' daylight!"
"You know, trail driving is not Sunday school picnic. You got to figure you're dealing with the dumbest oneriest critter on God's green earth. The cow is nothing but trouble tied up in a leather bag. and the horse ain't much better."

Not Big Jake, not The Quiet Man, Probably not one of his Military/War movies...
Probably not The Shootist, I'll go with The Cowboys.

It was the Cowboys. The original quote was from the madam with the heart of gold, who refused to let the boys spend their money at her traveling establishment. (the boys probably didn't have any money at the time anyway)
I had planned to use the quote between the Duke and the stuttering boy, but thought about all the swear words in it (And this was before the new rules were posted)

I wandered why you called me pilgram, my mind was off on the smart alec tract for it to register as a clue. To be honest, I really haven't seen The Cowboys all the way through. I've seen parts and know the gist of what made the movie "special" though. Man that Bruce Dern has crazy eyes when he wants to, almost as good as Michael Biehn's in Tombstone. I'll be back around 1:00 pm eastern time with a new quote. (Gotta check the archives)

The next quote is:
1st Person
"Now juggle these, do a tap dance, and sing the Katalina-Magdalena-Loopensteiner-Wollinbeiner Song."
2nd Person
"God D@mn your drunk tests are hard."

Is that right? Well, we must have similar tastes. Let's see if you've seen this one:
Next Quote (as memory serves): "You're a movie of the week, you're a f**n' t-shirt at best!"

Man that sounds familiar... I'm sure I've seen it, but I can't place the movie right now. Darn my aging memory.
