(Minesurfer, you get to go again. I cheated. Sorry, I just could resist. That quote was too hard! Don't kill me!!) [/b]That is correct. I'll go again since I have one in mind, but how did you cheat? Looked it up, asked somebody? Watched the movie? I would think that cheating would be nigh impossible in this game. You either know the quote, don't know the quote, or can find out where the quote came from. I'm intrigued by your admission, queer legion, it just strikes me as odd. The next quote is: "You can't triple stamp a double stamp. You can't triple stamp a double stamp."

I thought "cheating" would be looking the quote up (as opposed to actually knowing where it comes from).
And looking it up was what I did. Thanks for not busting my chops.
P.S. And I would have never guessed "You can't triple stamp a double stamp. You can't triple stamp a double stamp." came from the movie it did. (Mainly 'cause I never saw it!)

Just to bump the thread, I'm cheating again. "Dumb and Dumber"
Here's an easy one "..,but I'm still not to be had for the price of a cocktail, like a salted peanut."

Bette Davis in All About Eve. That's funny because I was going to use a quote from that same movie if I got another try. Guess I'll have to come up with something else. Give me a few minutes.

You got it Star Boy -- you're up (I think it was one word, "Wiseguys" but that'd be close enough for me).

Sheesh... maybe I was a bit obscure. So here's a hint: This film was one of many in the early nineties to feature the seemingly obligatory cameo from James Earl Jones.

Indeed it is. Cheesy cheesy film (but one that I have a strange fondness for.)

Since we are in cheesy movie mode:
"Do you know what that thing could do? Strip the paint off your house and give your family a permanent orange afro!"

Sounds like "Spies Like Us" to me.
edit
If its not Spies, then its Ghostbusters. Definitely an Ackroyd line.

Your first guess was right minesurfer. It was Spies Like Us. Sorry for the late confirmation. In meetings all day. Hit us with your best quote!

The quote is:
Even though none of us had ever seen a Playboy magazine, which we constantly lied about, we figured going to the pool was the next best thing to being there...
...It wasn't really the pool honeys like we said. Because if anyone of them had come up to any one of us, we'd have just peed our pants. We all went because, well, because Wendy Peffercorn was the lifeguard.

The Sandlot is correct. And for anyone that has ever been a kid in their life, this movie is a must see if you haven't seen it.
GREAT FLICK.
You're up Varalent.

This one is fairly easy (I think) but is one of my all time favorite movie quotes.
"Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days."
