OK, Survivors, head on in.
We see the St'balla tribe, winners of last round's Immunity Challenge:
And the new N'hura lineup... kenaustin no longer with them, shuttled back to the mainland for a personal obligation:
Take a good look at these lineups... because it's the last time you'll see them.
Some of our players said they were looking forward to tonight's challenge. Well, we'll see if that lasts because, tonight, it's time to recapture all of the awkwardness of your school-day gym classes as we're:
Picking new teams.
Drop your buffs, everybody... just the buffs, Lard Lad... you can keep your shorts on!
The Reward you're playing for tonight is the possibility to strengthen your own position by strengthening your team. Here's how this will work:
We went back through all the previous six challenges and tallied everyone's individual scores. The way scores were calculated was as follows:
- We only considered those Survivors currently in the game.
- For each Challenge, regardless of which team won, points were assigned for the order in which the Survivors submitted their responses. If you were the first in, you received 9 points, second - 8, and so on.
- If, however, you submitted your answer after the challenge had been decided, you received 0 points.
- There were two exceptions to this logic. Firstly, for the very first challenge in which actual scores were recorded, your final total determined the ranking (and in cases of ties, the time order was again considered). And secondly, in the most recent challenge all contestants received a 0, except Quis, who had 9 points subtracted.
- These scores were then averaged to determine current rankings.
Here's how it broke down:
- Even with the deduction, Quislet is tied with Lone Wolf for the top spot.
- Next, is Floating Foxlike Creature
- Then Davey Fairplay
- Then Lance
- Then Lardy
- Then Novelty and dedman are tied
- and Gamara's bringing up the rear.
Of course, challenge performance is just one factor that you need to consider when assembling your team. You should also consider challenge attendance, communication skills, helpfulness around camp, and anything else you think your new teammates will bring to the table... and, of course, the possibility that somewhere out there might lurk a Hidden Immunity Idol.
We will have four rounds of selection, with two participants in each round. The final round will, of course, have a twist.
Quislet and Lone Wolf, as you are the highest ranked, you will act as the new team captains and have first choice. You must choose a member of the former St'balla tribe and the order in which you choose will be determined by how quickly you answer a question.
That question will be posted in my very next post in just a minute or two, so keep your eyes on the thread...
