Lucky Supergirl and Luornu - saved from elimination by a single point! Although Luornu's cumulative votes would have still narrowly saved her over Live Wire - she has 230 and he has 227.

Lost a few of my list this time - Live Wire, who if I voted for higher could have been saved, as well as pre-boot Invisible Kid (my favorite Adventures-era character).

I'll start the new round in a bit - I'm just mulling over the voting mechanics

I lost several - Live Wire (same - if I'd ranked him even one place higher, he'd still be here); Umbra, Apparition, Kid Quantum II, Chameleon, Dreamer, Wildfire and Violet (whom I didn't vote for, but...).

Worse for me is that Umbra, Apparition and Live Wire were the last three to go home.

I lost my 5, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 14 votes! I thought anyone in a top 5 vote position would be a definite safe bet for the next round but I now realise we're at the stage of the game where a lone voter can't save more than 2 or 3 characters.

I was especially surprised to lose Adventure Lyle and the Andromedas because they had seemed to be doing quite well.

And here I was hoping Pete Ross or Lana Lang would pull off a surprise victory...

I'm thinking hard about the voting mechanics in the coming rounds. I know I have a lot of format changes planned, but I'm thinking which one will give us the least amount of ties. I'd rather not have to resort to accumulated votes to break said ties.

PS, I know I said I'd disallow votes coming in after I started tallying, but I'd just started when Blacula posted so I saw no reason to not be lenient. We do take our games seriously, but in the end they're just games - more fun for everyone

ROUND SIX RULES - The Road to the Top 25

Let's start building our Top 25!

For this round, everyone gets 500 points to distribute in ANY WAY they wish. As long as the points add up to 500, it's good!

I'll still count votes that total less than 500.

The Top 15 will earn spots in our Top 25 - and Round 7 will allow us to pick the remaining 10 Legionnaires.

Round ends early morning, US Pacific time, November 14, Monday.

House Rules

1) Each round will last about 48 hours, and will end early morning PST.
2) I'll vote at or near the start of every round to eliminate bias on my part.
3) I won't disallow changing of votes. I'll post on this thread the minute I start tallying to alert everyone; votes (or vote changes) that come in after that will be ignored.
4) In case of errors in the results, I'll post a correction immediately. If anyone's vote was affected by the error, and that poster wasn't able to correct the error in time, he or she will get a makeup vote next round - +15 points to give a Legionnaire of their choosing.
5. Ties will be broken by looking at the accumulated votes Legionnaires earned in previous rounds.
6. Voting rules may change every round, so read carefully before posting!
7. Points also reset per round, giving each Legionnaire a clean slate. But every vote is important because accumulated votes from previous rounds are used to break ties. You never know when such a vote can save one of your favorites!
