Well okay so I heard inker Mick Gray doing his impersonation of Barry but still, it was basically like hearing Barry speak I'm sure! It was somewhere between Austin Powers and James Bond, with a little Michael Caine thrown in.
It was at this past weekend's 'Super-Con' in Oakland, CA I was chatting with Mick about Legion and the character designs and upcoming issues (I saw preview pages and some interesting new bits!) and Mick started paraphrasing Barry's take on reimagining Legion costumes.

Hmm...let's see, here's some really not that spoilerish bits: <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">Click Here For A Spoiler</span><span class="spoiler_text">There'll be a couple of fill in issues coming up - Barry will get back around # 21. Mick inked a cool-ass super flying non-Barry splash page with like the whole team. In it Invisible Kid had a costume with a lower case "i" on it. Someone with a 'starfield' looking body shows up - can't say for sure who because I just quickly flipped through not wanting to be spoled. Mick said he discussed costumes with Barry and Barry's take was that in the future costumes were fluid and high tech and could change (hence the slight visual variations, glowing parts, etc). Mick says while he may get the scripts, he doesn't often know much of what's actually going on in the issues. </span></span>

I like that take on the costumes. I always thought that the case, especially with Lar's last outfit with the starfield. And it makes sense when you think that the new flight rings allows costume changes with a thought.
