...am in awe that Ex is even cooler than I knew he was.

...am officially homeless (new owners had a final walkthrough tonight and take possession of my old house tommorrow. I don't take over my new house till the 11th)

... bought some geraniums

...luxuriate in it not being my turn to shop for and cook the evening meal, while enjoying a vodka lemonade and some bossa nova.

...am riding the train from Vancouver to Portland. Didn't get a seat on the shore side. It is packed, and the wifi is spotty. But hey, it is a weekend getaway and I will get to meet cleome45!

... lost to a six year old in Candyland

...was up by twenty to eight in the morning. I've been so thoroughly reprogrammed by the temp job du jour after only one week that this feels like "sleeping in."

... bought some cherries. Yum!

...made my first buy from a food truck -- a shrimp & grits empanada.

... watched a parade

...went to my first ever comic con. It was actually geared more towards anime fans and gamers, but being a gamer I still had a totally awesome time!

...met mrs. and mr. cleome!

... am jealous of Kent

...am not in a good mood already.

...confess to finishing last in the drinking contest. [grumble]

... had my work plagiarized

...went back to work after an 18 day vacation

...bought a Legion comic book. And a Silk Spectre comic book. And a Superboy comic book.

...plus, wondered what it would be like to have an 18-day vacation. ;-)

...looked up at two buildings which are very prominent in the Atlanta skyline and realized I had dreamed last night I watched them being destroyed in an earthquake. It was mega creepy - I had completely forgotten the dream til then.

...went out after choir rehearsal to mark our last rehearsal for the summer. We sing through July and start back up in full swing after Labor Day.

...explained to LT how I get an 18 day vacation....
You see I work in cycles of 6 days of 12 hours then have 6 days off (in a 2 week cycle it works out to around 84 hours, normal work week.
Thanks to my job being unionized, my qualifications and senority I am entitled to what amounts to 12 days off a year + 6 stat holidays.
So when I take 1 cycle off, when you include my regular 6 off to either side, I get 18 days.
And I can do that 3 times a year (this year I can do it 4, as I didn't take all my vacation last year)

I hope that made some semblance of sense!!!

...went to a life drawing session for the first time in at least six years. No, not as the model. Went well. Started off rusty but by the end I was doing some decent work.

...am jealous of Kent and wishing I had access to a model

...resisted the temptation to make a very expensive DVD purchase that I cannot afford (hint: things would have been truly outrageous if I'd bought it.) So I'm proud of myself.

...worked 12.75 hours.
