...am riding the train from Vancouver to Portland. Didn't get a seat on the shore side. It is packed, and the wifi is spotty.  But hey, it is a weekend getaway and I will get to meet cleome45!

...looked up at two buildings which are very prominent in the Atlanta skyline and realized I had dreamed last night I watched them being destroyed in an earthquake. It was mega creepy - I had completely forgotten the dream til then.

...went out after choir rehearsal to mark our last rehearsal for the summer. We sing through July and start back up in full swing after Labor Day.

...explained to LT how I get an 18 day vacation....
You see I work in cycles of 6 days of 12 hours then have 6 days off (in a 2 week cycle it works out to around 84 hours, normal work week.
Thanks to my job being unionized, my qualifications and senority I am entitled to what amounts to 12 days off a year + 6 stat holidays.
So when I take 1 cycle off, when you include my regular 6 off to either side, I get 18 days.
And I can do that 3 times a year (this year I can do it 4, as I didn't take all my vacation last year)
I hope that made some semblance of sense!!!
