Which means that winter won't be far behind, along with my 20th Birthday.

Otono is Spanish for autumn. (Well, sort of -- my keyboard can't put the dash over the "n".)

I love fall weather.

Me, too, but I'm really annoyed right now-- because this looks like another year in which I won't be able to afford Fall bulbs for my yard. Thanks to my always-erratic wages. Last year was the same. There's still plenty of yard work I can do before the rainy season takes over, but I want more bulbs, damnit!

70 degrees at 10:30am... I thought I'd never see it again after that brutal Summer of 90 at 9am.

Are you like me in despising Summer as the absolute worst season of the year?

I hate summer when it's humid. Hot and dry I can deal with. Even stormy/wet I can deal with - if it's not sticky afterward.

So unless I'm out west, or its an unusual year, yes, I think summer is the worst season.

That said, this past summer hasn't been too bad, with only short spells of intolerability. But still not nearly as good as the rest of the preceding 9 months were.

It's raining here again, and the temperatures are starting to come down.

Naturally, the "wacky morning DJ" who's always on where I work had to whine today about how he wanted Summer back.

It's a good thing that I don't have a phone, because I wanted so badly to call the dude up and scream, "SOME OF US DON'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING WHERE WE WORK AND SPENT ALL OF AUGUST RUNNING AROUND IN A BIG STONE OVEN WISHING WE WERE DEAD! SHUT THE [bleep] UP, YOU STUPID, SPOILED MAN-CHILD!!"

I wouldn't have cared that it was on company time, either. And I probably would have been fired.

Agreed. When I'm cold, there are a hundred things I can to to warm up. When I'm hot... I'm just staying hot.

I always feel mixed about the fall ... I dread it because of the startup of school but I love the reprieve from the heat and humidity ... not to mention there always seems to be pumpkin pie around ...

Summer Rules All! Bow Before the Might of SUMMER!

Sorry, Abin, but a Canadian cool front reclaimed this area from the South a few days ago.

After a horridly muggy, mosquito-ridden summer, I'm loving it.

When you live where summer weather lasts well into October, you really look forward to cooler weather. I can't really complain, though. Everything here is air conditioned.

I'm rather happy to see the back of the Summer.

The days are still warm, but the stifling humidity is pretty much gone.

The weather this weekend is about all that saved me from collapsing in despair. It was perfect. Maybe the most perfect weather we've had all year.

I wasn't real mobile, but I opened all the windows, made a pitcher of iced coffee and enjoyed it as much as was humanly possible.

Okay, autumn's here, so what now?

I'm just happy for the cooler weather.

That's a good thing, too.

Now if it would only be 50 degrees instead of 70. Summer is hanging on by its pinky and refuses to let go.

Well, I'm in southern Ontario.
I was born in the Athens Greece in July. As long as I live I will never get used to Canadian winters.
Bottom line = If it never snows again it will be too soon for me!

I had to veer off course to the door of my building a couple days ago because a wasp was hovering there in my way. A big fat bloated wasp.

A WASP. I should be concerned with how thick my shirt is going to be, not wearing flip flops and dodging wasps.
