It's been quite a journey, IB, from the bottomest bottom to reaching for the Top Bottom.
...so to speak....

It's quite possible you're in the bottom 40 of people-who-have-signed-in-on-the-new-boards. [Especially if you exclude alts!] So true for us all.

...so to speak.... That journey requires quite a bit of flexibility

7,000 posts in 6 years and 5 months. I've been slackin' off for a while. I don't know if I'm closer to the bottom or the top any more.
But who's keeping score? I'll just quote Cole Porter to all my Legion World pals:
If, baby, I'm the bottom You're the top!

Top? Bottom? The true mark of a great poster is versatility!

Which is why I'm spending so much time in mediocrity. It's important to research that middle ground thoroughly, and not only because the snacks and distractions are better.

I just wish all the snacks & distractions didn't always get billed to my expense account.

Oh... I had wondered why no one ever asked for payment. Now I can enjoy them more knowing I'm not going to get a big back dated bill from the snack makers. Guilt over Cleome being charged? Why don't you join me in an endless bowl of your favourite snack and we'll talk about it?

Will cleome enjoy, knowing that she is paying for that bottomless bowl?

Nom Nom Nom! Gosh! Snack eating sure is noisy. I hope I haven't missed someone trying to tell me something.

If I had a better accountant, I bet I could get all this written off as business-related. You might say... my bottom line needs more attention.

Is the line the only bottom that needs attention?

If we started one of those call-in shows about relationships, we could probably find out.

I remember growing up with a party line. And an old rotary phone.

I used to think that the Wang Chung lyric in Everybody Have Fun Tonight was "Don't hang me on the party line" But it turn out that it's "don't hang me on the borderline" By "used to think" I really mean "up until 5 minutes ago when I checked" I thought I'd had to look it up years ago, so either I got it wrong then or I'm not the only one...

Catchy enough to shake your bottom 40 to it

Wang Chung lead singer Jack Hues chose his stage name as a pun on J'Accuse.
Which is a very LW thing.

The absence of emus in Wang Chung is considered to be the main reason for them not having sustained chart success. They missed a chance to consolodate their LWness

"Look at them go, look at them kick" - sang INXS about the emus that they knew only too well from the band's touring day's across Australia.
