Just curious, what is the new guy at AtR's track record for rumors coming true...? Not very good, IIRC.

Chalk this up as some fanboy's wet dream.

Well Waid did write Birthright....and now the Legion.
laugh

And the Legion is his wet dream...nothing will suprise me.

Now to agree with some of my co-posters.

Mon-El originating in the 30th century is a good idea IMO. Lar and Laurel all the way.

Time would certainly have done a 180 if a Superboy title was launched from a Legion title vs the other way around.

Yep. Super speed provides Superboy with the equivalent of invisibility and his x-ray and telescopic vision are pretty handy when it comes to stealth too.

I don't really care to see either Superboy back in the Legion. We just don't need him. Mon-el definitely needs to back as soon as possible. I really wouldn't mind seeing Supergirl as a member. She never hogged the spotlight during her brief membership and Kara really needs a place to call home, somewhere where she can shine. It could even be a future version or decendant of Kara's.

Wouldn't this be Eltro Gand rather than Lar Gand? That's not really such a bad idea, either. Valor could still be some kind of legendary hero, though perhaps only when viewed through the eyes of history. Eltro doesn't even have to necessarily be Lar's descendent, just believe he is. Also, a biological connection might be perceived to exist between Lar and Superman or Superboy, which could explain the "El". The "Mon" part is a little bit tougher, but I'm sure something suitable could be worked out.

I would never mention Eltro Gand again. smile

But you make a good point...Eltro being the descandent of Lar Gand...may make sense.

I was thinking of Lar being born in the 30th century not 20th. But that may lead to problems I guess.

I'm convinced something will tie in Legion with the Crisus in a big way. This harkens back to Waid's comments about how Legion will be #1, and how carefully it was plotted out.

Legion is leading the way to something big.

In Dallas, he also said "this is the future of the DC Universe, it's up to the present to catch up"; more or less, no changing the Legion to reflect the latest company-wide brouhaha. We know the end result, it's up to the present to get there.

From the latest All The Rage :

"We’ve received further word on the rumored Superboy ongoing series. From what I’ve been told, the series is still in the proposal stage. The initial idea for the revival came from Dan Didio and the writer said to be developing it is Mark Waid.

Rumor has it that the storyline will stem out of Legion and Crisis 2, and “will Hypertime Superboy” into the new Legion series."
This rumor is interesting to review, considering what we now know.
