Lady Cobalt said the aroma coming off me last night was enough to make her want to burn the bedsheets.
Who knew Scotch could do that to a man's body?

She never noticed it before? Or are you telling us she never slept with you while sober before?

Beer goggles have been scientifically proven to make people more attractive to otherwise sensible women.
IMAGINE what scotch goggles would do!

My stomach is still out of whack. I've been eating salad, drinking water & tea all day. Anything to be back to normal. Saturday was the 'keep it going day'. Yesterday was the hangover day. Today is just physical pain and exhaustion. What a great weekend

Like the real deal, there are only American teams involved, so take it with a grain of salt. Exactly when are the games to be played? What is the name of your team? What position do you play? (I knew you played the field. )

The games are next week; coinciding with the DNC. Guess I won't be around for that fun traffic nightmare.
My team is the Yard Dogs, and I run around the left field.
While there won't be as much scotch as a bachelor party, there will hopefully be as much bedhopping as a comic book convention.
Just spouting off.

The last time I posted here it was right after my own Bachelor Party / Stag, and I felt it fitting to return this great thread to discuss what I'm doing this weekend! Tomorrow night is my brother's stag! I'm the best man and I excel at these types of events so I'll be playing the MC for the night. I've been planning it for like 4 months. It will be an all weekend type event and it should be a blast. The way we do stags/bachelor parties here in the Northeast is we treat it as a fundraiser: we invite all our guy friends and family members but we also make it clear that its open to really any guy. You pay $30 for a ticket to get in and get all the beer and food you can eat plus whatever else is going on, which usually includes gambling and strippers. Then you can pay $10 for raffle tickets and get some great prizes raffled off. There is also a 50/50 raffle as well ($5). So for about $50 you can have one hell of a night! These things are usually pretty big, around 50 people but mine was mind-blowingly huge, at about 180 guys. I'm a pretty social person and know a lot of people, and so does my Dad, so we filled the hall pretty well. I expect my brother's to be the same if not larger. I made $3,700 off my stag (after everyone who contributed to setting it up was reimbursed) so they're no joke! It paid for the whole honeymoon! For my brother's I've really gone all out. Drinks are not just kegs for beer but also a full open bar with top shelf scotches, rums, vodkas, gins, whiskeys and even some tequilla. My sister is a chef / graduate from the Italian Culinary Institute (she went to Italy for it), and she is doing the cooking with my parents. We had a lot of compliments at mine so it should be great. There will be enough food to feed 200 guys. I bought cards for each table for smaller poker games, but we also have a friend who will be doing blackjack, and he keeps 60% of profits while we get 40%. The raffle is the best part and what I worked on for a long time. I have two sets of Yankees tickets in September when games will be tight; I have a iphone we're raffling off; a great golf club; a fishing pole; a tool set; boxing gloves; a football; a soccer ball; some lawn darts game; about 8-9 movies (all cool ones naturally), and about 7-8 top shelf large bottles of booze (I call them ‘handles’) such as MacCallan Scotch, Grey Goose vodka, etc. Naturally the raffle is the real money-maker. I also bought a box of cigars so everyone can grab a cigar. And yes, before anyone asks, I did indeed handle the ‘entertainment’ and its as weird as you can imagine ordering it. But hey, when you’ve got over 100 guys in one room, you’ve got to know how to work your crowd. It's also not really that enjoyable manuevering the conversation away from this topic when my wife, soon to be sister-in-law, sister or parents ask about it. But I've had practive I fronted over $1,000 for this thing so you can see how much I’ve got invested in it. I’ve been marketing it like a sonuvabitch these last few months in every way imaginable. Following the stag on Friday night, we’re making a whole weekend out of it, spending the day at the bar on Saturday and maybe going somewhere fun—my brother will decide then, he wants to see where the road takes us. If its far, I have a limo service we can use, if its local, that can be just as fun or even more so. So by Sunday/Monday, you can expect me to feel like I’ve been to hell and back.

That's a great idea, Cobie: charging for a stag party and then using the profits to get the couple off to a good start (at least, I presume that's what you're doing with the money. ). It also sounds like a blast; I can't imagine anyone complaining about having to pay.

Yeah, the attendees make out like bandits so they're not complaining and the idea is the proceeds cover either the honeymoon or the start of a little nest-egg. We're setting up now and I'm on my second Jack Daniels on the rocks. Not big on mixers these days.

I was recently turned down for a really good job I had applied for in the nicest section of the county. It would have been a long commute, but well worth it.
Thus, currently I'm drowning my sorrows in frivolity.

Thank you so much, Rocky. I treated myself to something today, which I'll mention in the Today I thread.
