Today, I suffered thru a mother of a stomache virus. And it doesn't seem to want to let go of me! I feel like crap.

Those are the worst!

Today I must prepare to go to court on Monday and get out of a speeding ticket from around Christmas. I hate going to court .

I just broke 2 bones in my foot stepping the wrong way off a flight of stairs. My foot went at a 90 degree angle which was super cool. a $50 cab ride and some emergency X-rays later and Im in the clear...just cant walk very far for a couple days. appparently they were small and unimportant.
in other news Its 6am, my parents are in town for another 3 days (yuck) and my cats are gay. I caught them having sex. both are male.

No really- I just accepted a job at Time Warner (their cable tv division.) They said with all the downsizing, the spandex crowd are going to have to start getting full time jobs.

Settled into the new joint ... dealing with smelly downstairs neighbors and the fact my my BF gets up an hour before me and I can never fall back to sleep ... other than that, things are going, um, swimmingly ...

Lots of things going on lately, but one happening immediately: I'm going to Key West tomorrow evening/Sat morning and will be gone for 9 days!

I bought the latest volume of Complete Peanuts today. It covers 1963 and 1964. The next one (scheduled for October) covers 1965 and 1966, probably my favorite Peanuts years (Snoopy becoming the World War One flying ace, and Peppermint Patty's first appearance.)

Whats going on in my life is that Im generally AWESOME. And my brother is a F#$@king idiot.

Just finished moving into my new apartment.
Co-worker that is being all senstive today for some reason.

Can't wait to relax in the new casa and go through more boxes of more junk to get rid of.

I enjoy a drink now and again. I just don't make an evening of it, generally - especially with a bunch of alleged 21-year-olds who think it's something to do for it's own sake.

Anyway, I have to find a job for 6-7 weeks and start getting ready to vacate my apartment - figure out what to sell (yard sale Memorial Day weekend!), what to store here, what to store back "home," and what to bring with me to Alberta.

I just spent the last three days on jury duty. Having never served, it was a trip to see the process. Seeing how my fellow jurors deliberated and processed the evidence was insightful. We eventually found the guy guilty of credit card theft. But some folks hated the idea of judging the man. Given the option, I'd do it again.

Second week of my new diabetes and blood pressure diet. Didn't weigh myself until after already a week in so I don't know how much I lost the first week. But this morning I found I had dropped six pounds since last Saturday.

Good news, Scott. Hey, your doc doesn't have you on Avandia for your diabetes, does he? Mom was on it, I just got her off of it. Sent her this link, she contacted our primary care, and he took her right off. FYI.

Actually yes. But after a bad incident this last week where my blood pressure soared out of control he took me off of it. I was have a bad interaction reaction. So, for now, we're going to try and control it with diet. As long as my blood sugar tests don't get any higher I should be okay by just being careful.

I've been taking that stuff for five years now. Sucks to be me.

Mom was on it for about four, Jeff. The doctor took her off it anyway. The makers of Avandia made Vioxx, too, and that was a fiasco. When will drug companies learn they can't test meds the way MicroSoft tests operating systems? "Let's put it out and wait for users to complain, so we know what to fix!"

Mmmkay so I've been gone for almost a month and have been infrequently posting before that BUT with good reasons!

Reason #1: I've been finishing my last semester, polishing my portfolio, and completing 4 commercials, 3 of which are done in claymation and involve the murder of fruit.

Reason #2:
I won a "Clio" (an advertising award) and my school flew me out to South Beach Florida to accept it. Very sweaty and people weren't wearing much, I think probably because Cobie was in Florida around the same time I was.

I've been interning, interviewing, and freelancing at different ad agencies around the country (and Toronto!) in anticipation of graduation.

Reason #4:
I graduated! I got an MFA in advertising last Friday and boy are my arms tired.

Anyhoo, I'm done with school and 1 job so now I should only have 1 to 1.5 jobs now and plenty more time to post and make art. Cheers!
