I've avoided those room so far. It looks like people gather at particular times. when i've been by they don't seem busy.
Are there indeed particular times people hang there?

Kent, people don't gather at certain times, they usually just post when they can and hope somone is around for a response! Most of the time, no one responds to me right away except in SHAKES, which always gets the most traffic. Well, except Stu of course, but the two of us are online usually at the same times.
It seems those places get more hits at night than any other time (which surprised me tonight to see no one there), which is how they got so high in the page count.
In other words, drop on by when you get the chance! And to quote myself "That goes for you other Lurkers too!"
