Meanwhile, the rest of the Light Brigade are caught in a time loop, witnessing Superboy-Prime's beheading of Pantha over and over again...
Meanwhile, Matlock deduces that "Coma Girl" is an anagram for "Grim Coal" as the story ends with him about to announce the huge significance of this!

Introducing: Grim Coal! No sooner does Matlock utter the words, than Dormant Damsel awakens, her body possesed by this nefarious entity.
Turns out Grim Coal was Cole, one of the early wannabes coveting membership in Umber's entourage "The Boyz"! Rejected, he sought revenge in witchcraft, but accidentally fell into a coal furnace. With an incantation his essence was transferred into the nearest comatose person until someone deciphered his enchanted anagram.
<and yes, that's pretty convoluted!>
Now, Grim Coal transforms into a 30-foot tall blazing, unstoppable monster!
Meanwhile, Captain Lightbulb has an idea...
