Actor Dick Gautier is best known for playing robots: Hymie in "Get Smart" and the voice of Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod in "Transformers."

I got a free bag of frozen marionberries from the co-op a month or so back. I'm making them into compote later on today. Oh, and I'm also fixing pound cake, since there's nothing sadder and lonelier than compote sitting home alone on a Saturday night.
Hey, Kids! My "Cranky and Kitschy" collage art is now viewable on ipernity! Drop by and tell me that I sent you. *updated often!*

ummmmm, Marionberry compote and pound cake sigh I'm waiting for a medical card. Then, 'stuff' will be more reasonable, I hope. I made oatmeal/raisin cookies the other day and my husband gobbled them up in 3 days! (I got a few.)

I generally loathe baked goods (to the consternation of my bread-fanatic mom), but oatmeal raisin cookies are my kryptonite! Them and peanut butter cookies. Note: two greats tastes that *do not* taste together. I tried mixing the recipes once, with the unrealistic notion that if I loved them both, then I'd love them both mixed together. Yuk.

Paul Dini, who I voted for in SK's poll, wrote one of the best Transformers Season 3 episodes, "The Dweller in the Depths."

The Yellow Mask = Pretty awesome Superman villain.
Not as cool as the Spider Lady, but awesome nonetheless.

M.A.S.K. was a so-so action adventure cartoon from the 80s, produced by DiC, who also did Inspector Gadget and The Real Ghostbusters, and whose business practices destroyed the syndicated animation market.

I remember really liking M.A.S.K. for awhile when I was a kid, but watching a few episodes recently on Youtube proved rather disappointing.
I've got a couple the toys somewhere, however.

The Dr. Fate sequence in the back-up story in DCU: Legacies #1 comes from a genuine Golden Age tale and was originally published in More Fun Comics #63.

Walt Simonson did not enjoy working on First Issue Special: Dr. Fate in the 70s, even though he produced one of the most imaginative visualizations of Dr. Fate ever!
