I wonder if the Giant Robotic Lesbian is available? We could serve her some tasty oil-based dishes.
As for Mantis, I wonder if that one would enjoy a stir fry of scallops and prawns with ginger?
And for STU, we shall henceforth call that dish "Oyster Stew à la STU".

Maybe if we start having a "Lurker's special" at the Beacon, some of the Lurkers will stop in and tell us what they think? (I assume of course that all Lurkers dine here, they just are never outspoken about their opinions...)

I think it's because the cooking is so good that it's left them speechless.

I love hot & sour soup, especially on a cold winter's day. A few years back, I had a spicy Szechuan dish that had, believe it or not, smoked bacon with greens and hot peppers. And it wasn't like skinny bacon strips either... it was the real thing: big, juicy slices with just the right amount of fattiness... I was surprised, because I'd never seen bacon in Chinese food before. (But I certainly wasn't complaining! )

To start off, a salad of field greens and grape tomatoes, topped with strips of smoked salmon, flown in fresh from the Pacific Northwest.
Then, Salisbury steak with pearl onions and wild mushrooms.
Hot, buttery rolls.
And, for dessert, a compote of winter berries, served with freshly whipped cream.

I'll be having a Southern-themed supper today: chicken and dumplins, fried catfish, hush puppies, fried okra, pecan pie, and sweet tea.

I'll have the best of what's on the menu tonight! I ran a contest, and I picked a lovely young lady out of the massive amount of denizens on Legion World who consider themselves my fans, and then decied to bring her out to the Beacon!

Mm, I think I'm in the mood for a warm meal tonight at the Beacon. I might run another contest for one of my fans to have dinner with me tonight, but Giant Robotic Lesbian keeps winning! Either way, I'll be sure to sit near the door so I can draw a crowd to the Beacon . I suggest that other legendary posters do the same!

I guess we need to start planning for Valentine's dinner at the Beacon. Something else else spectacular I hope. I'm thinking of diverting the lava flow from Mount Eruptus through the lower level of the dining room (just a trickle, mind you) for a spectacular (and romantic) effect that evening.

Poor Cobie, having to dine with GRL all the time. But it was either that or being seen with Worthless Dude.
Darn! I won't be able to make it on Valentine's Day! I have other... plans.

Maybe I'll do a Valentine's Day special date contest? There are plenty of beautiful women on Legion World who I've dated, and even some I haven't!
Maybe a black tie party at the Beacon?
