Hmmm, so theoretically, if someone were to employ all these words in a story of some sort, it'd be pretty fuckin' hilarious, no?

Well, i won a grossout contest with the word 'Fartjuice'. And everyone pretty much laughed.

Also, i created the phrase "hockey snockey". My wife likes that one.

But them, she also likes the word 'duty', said with a typical southern accent. Makes it sound like 'doody'.

Anyone who has ever listened to I'm Sorry Haven't A Clue (the antidote to panel games in case you don't know) knows what the funniest game in the world is. They have this one game (forget what it's called) where they take it in turns to say a word, any word, and if the audience laughs then they're out. The winner is the last person to make the audience laugh. Now of course half the reason it's so funny is that they come up with words that *are* funny and you have to try not to laugh. However it is a brave man who tries the one word guaranteed to get a huge laugh. (Yeesh, this is a long story to explain why one word is funny).

And that word, of course is

plinth.

Try playing the game yourself and throw in 'plinth'. It's just too funny for it's own good for no apparent reason.

Nope not a laugh, giggle, chuckle from me.

HELP! I think I'm missing my funny bone!

I sure don't, but I once knew someone with the last name of Smoot, and it always made me giggle. What *is* a smoot anyway?

Why are you laughing at me? It's unkind, as well as puzzling!

"smoot /smoot/ n. [MIT] A unit of length equal five feet seven inches. The length of the Harvard Bridge in Boston is famously 364.4 smoots plus or minus an ear (the ear stands for epsilon). This legend began with a fraternity prank in 1958 during which the body length of Oliver Smoot (class of '62) was actually used to measure out that distance. It is commemorated by smoot marks that MIT students repaint every few years; the tradition even survived the demolition and rebuilding of the bridge in the late 1980s. The Boston police have been known to use smoot markers to indicate accident locations on the bridge."

I believe they actually use his son when they repainted them on the new bridge. Also here in Boston, we call it the Mass Ave Bridge, as Massachusetts Avenue is the street that is part of the bridge. It connects Boston and Cambridge right near MIT. Also the smoot marks are useful when crossing the bridge in the winter as you don't have to raise your head into the freezing wind to see how much further you have to cross.

Hey, does anyone remember that game from the Outpost, where we listed the heroes who got rejected because you could tell just by their name that they'd be ba-a-a--a-addd? Stuff like Booger Eater Lad and such. One of mine was FARTKNOCKER! Someone should start that game again, here!

Dean, i don't know about fartknocker, but i did create the position of official nutpuncher for the rock band when some friends and i made a skit up at school.

He is the typical roadie, but his official job is to punch michael jackson, steven tyler, etc... in the nuts so they can hit the high notes. Mariah Carey has an offical titty twister.

Hey, whadda ya expect, i was in college, lol.
