Yeah, the Pearl Jam appearance definitely was the highlight of the Twilight Zone bit. Jude Law really brought it down for me, though.

Hamlet tryout was the best bit of the night so far. That one nailed it--Jude Law not trying to be funny and hilarious impressions of Pacina (nailed it!), Nathan Lane (nailed it!), Samberg's awesome Nic Cage impression (one of my favorites) and a great Sam Elliot part. Loved it!
And I love the Kickspit Underground infomercial. They've shown it before and its even funnier the second time around. Mrs. Potato Dick. Ventriloquists on stilts with dummies on little stilts. RIP Ass Dan.

The best part is its making fun of lot of people I used to know a few years back (the type of people who are kind of like the hosts...haha, "Lil' Blaster"). It also kills Turtle from Entourage. I'm still giggling from it.

Me too. Pearl Jam is a band I like but not my favorite; they are actually my wife's all time favorite band. Both songs pretty good tonight, I liked the second one better.

I used to LOVE Pearl Jam. Didn't hear anything tonight that made me want to revisit them.

I'm surprised they dragged the stenographer bit out again ... the first one a few weeks back was pretty lame ... no change this time ...

Worst of the night. A retread and much lamer than the first time around (which wasn't all that great)

Agreed. Last time I was kinda amused, but not this time. Crowd wasn't laughing either.

Talk Show with Rashish was pretty weak, except for the brief Jay Leno Walking with Ravish, which really cracked me up for some reason.

Yeah, I didn't hate it but it wasn't anything to write home to Mom showed about. A worthy try.
All in all, a pretty bad episode. But I kind of feel like it was Jude Law's fault. He was so flat--sucked all the funny out of the room. A lot of the cast brought some good material but they didn't have the right atmosphere to do it in. Too many retreads though.

However--I think a Legion Worlder should create their own talk show in a thread on the MMB and then run it every few nights. They could interview other posters. And it shouldn't be me

I don't how long it's been since I've watched SNL, but I certainly wasn't impressed.

Man, first fresh SNL I've seen in about a month and it was a real clunker! I'll try to hold onto "Really?", the digital short and that Pearl Jam moment in the Twilight Zone sketch...but otherwise, BLECHH!!!

Didn't Tarik the Mute's Android have a talk show at one point?

I was saying this on another thread (and many agreed with me) that I just started watching it again since my wife has been pregnant and we haven't been going out late on Saturdays. And you know what? Its actually been hilarious! IMO, its been funnier this past year than its ever been before IN THE HISTORY OF THE SHOW. Funny than the 70's, 80's, the 90's "bad boy" years, the early part of this decade in Will Ferrell's heyday and Jimmy Fallon/Tina Fey years. Its been consistently funnier than all of those eras. Each one of the cast is able to bring their A game every week and can be hysterically funny.
But tonight was an odd and rare showing of suckery. I think it was the hosts fault.
Surprise brilliant hosts this year: Taylor Swift. Blake Lively. Zach Galfynkis (not really a surprise).
