I've been posting in Blacula's Gim-support threads for as long as I can remember--I've demanded Gim and Dirk back for some time!
I can't wait to see Gim in the new series, he looks like he's going to kick ass! Space-rawking indeed!

The only time I liked Gim was in the 5YG, when he becomes an SP. That really seemed more in character with his personality. Gim always seemed to me to be a soldier more than a super hero, and that wasn't always a bad thing. I haven't read post-boot yet, as I am building an entire run from LSH # 1 (Levitz-Giffen) to the present. I hope to have it done by Jan.1.

Also, he seemed to be portrayed as being of French descent, so it would be a hard G, I believe.

I also went with the soft "g" in Gim. As for "Ayla"...ok, maybe I'd better skip that one.

Gim and Dirk were fairly good friends in the preboot, right? I know there were about four of them who played D&D (these two, Cham, and Thom), but I thought these two stuck together. But I might be *gulp* misremembering.

Funnily enough, i always pronounced it like the g used in 'gimme'. so, instead of it sounding like JIM allon, it sounds like gim allon.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Something pithy!
