Just polished off a "Leap Frog": Gin, Lemon Juice, Sweet Vermouth, and Orange Liqueur (like Triple Sec).

Now switching over to a glass of Shiraz.

I'm gonna get drunk at least once during vacation!

My last vacation, I was drunk everyday!

Well, that's either because you're still a young'un...or an alcoholic!

I'm about to start my vacation tonight too, Lardy! Off for a week. (Have another week off in July but couldn't get them back to back--FEH!)

And yes, I also plan to get a strong buzz on, and do some drunk posting later!

My father's day gift came early--a bottle of my favorite scotch!

Or both!

Oh my gosh! That's right, there are a lot of dads on these here Boards!

I'm superdrunk right now; I created a vintage country music thread for this the other night, but tonight I'm obsessed with "Freaky in the Club", which isn't country at all...

hmm, today is my 14th day on vacation.
In that time I've only managed to drink maybe 6 or 7 beer and not all on the same day.

This must be remedied immediately! I'm gathering a group to head over to where you are so we can all get drunk!

Two cocktails later, I have almost come to terms with the fact that I'll have to spend ten billion hours at work tomorrow.

I've had four White Russians. Amazingly, I don't feel drunk (though I wouldn't trust myself to drive). The milk negates some of the effects.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that my work is challenging and demanding, but I'd rather not be doing anything else.

And, oh yes, I'm listening to The Cars' 2010 reunion album, "Move Like This" on YouTube.

The most challenging and demanding part of my job is the person running the plant.



Maybe I'll go get a glass of wine. It cost 4.99, so I know it's gotta' be awesome.

Alas, bosses we don't like, get along with, and/or trust are a fact of life.

I'm still on the fence about my immediate supervisor. I know she has people she has to report to, as well, and they demand certain things of her just as she demands of me. I think she does her best within the confines of what the "company" expects.

But the bottom line for me is this: Do you enjoy what you're doing? Does what you are doing serve the needs of someone other than yourself? Are you able to make a significant contribution beyond paying your bills and serving your own immediate needs?

If I can answer "yes" to each of these questions (and I think I can), then everything else is worth it.

Whenever Blaze and I drink we talk about quitting our lives and just traveling around the world. Maybe work so we can support ourselves as we go around.

Of course, I think sooner or later the lack of stability will get to us...

Anyway, here I am. Drank two sake-ginger ale-citrus cocktails, downed a bunch of delicious fresh seafood and veggies... Life is great! (At least for a bit.)

I had a White Russian and a Black Russian earlier, but then I drank water. I don't want to wake up in the morning with a hangover.

White Russians are among my favorite drinks too.

Now when I post while drinking, I'm usually decently tipsy but not quite drunk. When I am rip-roaring drunk, I'm usually too uncoordinated to type anything.

Sentients! Please be sure that any post made by Cobalt Kid on any given Friday or Saturday from 8:30 PM EST to 6:00 AM the next morning has been posted while I, Cobalt Kid, am drunk!
