Even (at least some of) us straight people would appreciate a Legion that had such diversity.
About a dozen or more years ago, some TV commentator mentioned that Western TV characters (Bonanza was the example) weren't truly representative of 1860s-1870s people; they were 1960s-1970s people set in the old west.
Despite the best of intentions by creative folks, that rings true in Legion and other science fiction as well. 2958 or 3004 will be farther different than Otto Binder or Mark Waid or you or I could ever imagine... what we're really seeing is a metaphor of contemporary people in a futuristic setting.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

That could be seriously mind boggling.
- Ayla and Luornu (Lu Purple, specifically, to the consternation of her other selves).
I was thinking of an Ayla/Zoe match, but Purple would work better. I don't think Zoe is a one sentient kind of gal.[/QB][/QUOTE]
I prefer Vi and Brin. Yin-yang like that shouldn't be wasted. I'd like to see Chuck with someone more glamorous, like Andromeda.
- Lar with Shvaughn (I love the idea of these two).
That could work well. I wonder how she'd deal with the whole Valor deal. Dating a famous hero is one thing, but dating a messiah could be seriously overwhelming.

I say lets make the villians truely villianous. Lets put the fatal back into the Fatal Five ya know. Two things I would like to see is one of the Legion becoming a villian. I mean a nasty, kick sand in your face while he takes your girl kinda villian. Some one who knows the Legion and knows how to hurt them. Also, lets see one of the lower powered Legion guys (or gals) take on a bunch of enemies at once. A really good JSA story had Wildcat (No super powers what so ever) take on the entire Injustice Society by himself. I would love to see a Legion story like that. Some one using their brains and skills rather than brute strength. Oh and put M'Onel/Valor/Whatever back in the costume he had at the begining of this Legion series. The One with the blue and the star field pattern. That one was SSSOOOO much better than what he has now! He looks like an M. Bison reject.
“By far, the strangest of all living beings is VALIDUS! No one knows his origin … nor even precisely what he is! But his power is known and feared throughout the universe! His strength is incalculable, and though he does not possess a superior intellect, the pure energy of his brain causes mental lightning to flash around his head, he is force personified!”

- More assignments for the Espionage Squad. They're the Legion's undercover cops. And they should have a huge role in the team.
- Legion Tryouts at least once a year, even if just a few panels.
- A new LSV is LONG overdue.
- The return of Gim Allon, Nemesis Kid and ... the SW6 Ferro. I loved Andy as a daredevil. His current personality still hasn't grown on me.

This just occurred to me yesterday, I would like to see a 31st Gotham, and its current protector(s). The criminals on Earth were often enough to keep the JLA busy, so maybe some local crime for the Legion? I know the SP would like to pretend they've got it under control, but it might do them some good to have to ask .

Keep in mind I've never been part of a Comic book forum before so maybe this is normal, but what is the obsession with homosexual characters? It seems to crop up in every thread and several threads are in someway directly born of it. Maybe I'm just slow, but I don't see the big deal, the setting is one THOUSAND years from now and no one gets too bent up about interplanetary dating (with every color of the rainbow, shapeshifters, etc.), so why would gender be a big issue? Perhaps some posters are homosexuals and are just hoping for more characters that reflect their lives?
(If I have offended anyone please feel free to tell me to take a leap.) That's definitely the case for me. I'd like to see more gay characters as a sort of reflection of my life - or the possibile lives of younger gays who haven't yet come to terms with their sexuality. Mind you, I don't want to see any sort of gay subculture because I'd hope that would cease to be necessary in 1000 years.

I don't know if it's still official continuity but back in the preboot "Metropolis" had absorbed Gotham, sort of like Mega-City 1 in Judge Dredd.

Changes, changes...
I'd keep the current cast, with a few tweaks.
The following as is:
Cosmic Boy Saturn Girl Chameleon Brainiac 5 Invisible Kid Violet (not LeViathan. Ugh, I hate that code name) Apparition Umbra Ultra Boy Spark Gates Star Boy (no more power malfunctions) Dreamer XS Triad M'Onel Karate Kid Ferro Kid Quantum II Wildfire Shikari Gear Timber Wolf Bouncing Boy (maybe with some Elongated Man style powers - let Cham leave the stretching to someone else!)
Then Kinetix, Live Wire and Sensor. I don't know, maybe have a nice story with the three of them against a Sun Eater or something like that. Zoe uses her hypertaxis energy and Garth lets loose with Jan's powers - and when the dust clears we have Kinetix, Live Wire and Princess Projectra, as they should be.
The Legion needs Element Lad too - we can spin off from the preceding story and have the three open a space warp or something that leads to some remote corner in the 2nd Galaxy where they find Jan, still alive, in stasis, and never having become the Progenitor.
Then I'd add these guys: Nightwind Infectious Lass Polar Boy Dawnstar Sun Boy White Witch Mentalla Crystal Kid Spider Girl Dragonmage Night Girl Calorie Queen as full-fledged Legionnaires.

Here's my list: *Chemical King-nuff said *Bring back Projectra (not Sensor Girl or Sensor) *Mon-El (not Valor or M'Onel) *Quislet - I really miss his light hearted joy of life *Bring back Gim (let Vi go back to being the tough, competent Cockrum Vi) *I also would like Nemesis Kid in the Legion and agree that his power could be unpredicable (how many ways are there to counter a powerful punch?) *Get rid of Kid Quantum and replace her with Quantum Queen *Bring back Pol and show some big brother/little brother interactions with Rokk *Bring back Mysa as the White Witch - reintroduce the mystical aspect to the Legion. Let her magic drive Brainy crazy! *Bring back Rond back as a supporting character or even as the GL of the sector (an ally of the Legion) *Definitely want Jan back as Jan. Wipe this Progenitor stuff completely away. *deWolf Londo - he wasn't, isn't and should not be a wolf boy. *Dev-Em (as an ally) *dewimpify Ferro *Tellus Bring back the Subs as an auxiliary instead of as a group of rejects. Make them powerful and efficient but only available in dire emergencies or to fill in for injuries/missing in action, etc.(perhaps some are physicians, educators etc.) This group could include: *Night Girl (powerful by day but daxamite level in the dark) *Fire Lad (fire caster not fire breather) *Color Kid (use of colors to create illusions as well as the ability to change the colors of things) *Crystal Kid *Power Boy *Energy Kid (the blond guy that never got to try out when Quis, Pol, Brek & Sensor Girl were inducted - make him a power drain/power caster that can draw energy from his opponents and use it to blast them. Heck, he could recharge Wildfire when needed!) *Shadow Lad (back up for Shady when she needs to fulfill her role as Planetary Champion) *Dragon Mage (Mysa could continue being his mentor) and a few others. *Storm Kid (as Lash would put it, the boy toy not that frat jerk) Some others I'd like to see in this group include: Night Wind, Infectious Lass (a colleague of Dr. Gym'll), Spider Girl, Beauty Blaze, Echo, Mentalla (as SG's kid sister) As for the new cadets: I would like to see the Floating Fox-like cadet & Babbage remain or be reintroduced Definitely want the return of the LSV and the real Dark Circle, Regulus, and some other oldtime Legion baddies. I'm sure I'm missing some others. If I think of them, I'll add them.
"Hey Jim! Get Mon out of the Zone!! And...when do we get Condo back?"
