Leather. Black with bright red trim.
And he should have a range of vocal powers, not just screaming. A seductive voice.

skull-cap and really baggy jeans that sit around mid-thigh.
Oh yeah, and don't forget the bling bling.

The bling bling is essential for Tyroc! Agreed, let's see some leather with red trim. He also needs some white to bring back some of the original costume color scheme. Maybe a white leather coat?

It has to be the white with the booties, and maybe some more diamond and golds bling ...
A hat might be cool, white leather...
and maybe if he had a piece on him...that'd be sort of right.
There are words for people like me, but my mother won't let me say any of them.

I seem to be the only one who has to ask these questions, but what is a "bling bling"?
White leather would be nice, but the cleaning bills! Unless Brainy has a dry-cleaning ray. But something tasteful please - making him into a pimp is as bad as afro-disco. Hats, of course, are always in good taste.

Have him wear "English Leather" that's supposed to be tasteful from those old 20th Century commercials.

Actually, Sonnie, your request fits very well with my suggestion. As I recall, their slogan was "All my men wear English Leather ... or they wear nothing at all!"

Hmm... these days I'm thinking Tyroc should wear something similar to Flavor Flav's oversized clock around his neck...

I'm gonna go with a white Elvis outfit, sequenced (sp?) with a light blue scarf. Keep the afro. Platform shoes optional (blue suede shoes?).
Bling, bling refers to jewelry. The more neck chains, bracelets, rings and piercing items, the 'blingier'.

Anyone got that Mike Grell sketch of a preliminary costume for Tyroc? The one with the jacket that was similar to the final design, and the tiny, and separate, swimsuit?

Tyroc should wear something that *doesn't* evoke 20th century 'fashion.' Especially no 'bling.' That's as lame as giving Element Lad a 'cool kids' soul-patch, a mere THOUSAND YEARS after they fell out of style...
Too many skin-tight leotards among the Legion dudes, give him something with epaulets and gauntlets and stuff. A costume with some heft to it. Keep the 'classic' colors, white with silvery metal arm-guards, shin-guards, belt and shoulder plates. Alternately, dump the shoulder plates and use some sort of pectoral (or combine them somehow). Have the belt be narrow at the buckle, but with some sort of bulkier metal areas at the sides, where a Liefield hero would have 27 empty pouches and a gun. Hip-paulets, they could be called...
Skip the 'fro. Skip the 'every black character must shave his head' cliche (I'm looking at you Black Lightning!). The only stereotypical 'black' hairstyle I'd go for would be long dreds or cornrows, but a high-and-tight would be even cooler. (Although the long dreds / cornrows would look more 'active' flapping around as he unleashes his sonic attacks, so my mind is changing already...)

I re-watched Pulp Fiction last night, and watching Samuel L. Jackson totally heightened my enthusiasm for Tyroc!

I blame this thread for the horrible outfit Tyroc's been saddled with since he came back!
