Let's just say you'd recognize him from other media, which is why we must keep his identity secret.

And why can't I get this thought outta my head that Des and CJ got so drunk that they shared a dance to current Katy Perry pop single "I Kissed a Girl". Though I've yet to read an account of this, I feel SO SURE this happened in San Diego!!!

Stuey must turn green when he drinks. Because he stayed with us in the condo and while there he was never green. Well maybe a a light shade of lime one evening after confessing to indulging in con vendor hotdogs and pretzels, or pretzel dogs or the like. Anyway, he looked perfectly normal when he left. Perhaps there was a lot of artifical color in whatever he was drinking.... As long as I'm here, let me toss in something completely different. Those of you who were at the con know that Scott ordered some poker chips with the Legion logo and they took so long he had to have them diverted to Gary's address for delivery. Then, we ended up going out to Chula Vista to the UPS main depot to pick them up because they wouldn't leave them without someone to sign for them, blah, blah. Well I went with Scott for the drive and it was actually one of my most favorite memories of San Diego. The damn UPS closed at 6pm and didn't open again until 8pm and we weren't about to drive back to downtown SD in traffic and then back in 2 hours. So we went to a strip mall across the way from UPS. It had a Borders that was having a mega-sale and I got some great books and stuff. Then we decided to see if the frozen yogurt place offered sugar-free, and we had a fun treat there. Then we walked it off, enjoying a lovely center parkway which had a gorgeous bronze statue of children running across a fallen log. There was a stream and then little ponds full of Koi fish ranging from tiny baby fishies to giant old grandparent fish. Then I spotted a turtle about the size of my hand, and we watched him swim around until Scott spotted a relatively giant turtle come under the bridge from another pond and join the fun. Scott bought a handful of Koi and turtle food nodules from a vending machine (how convenient and darn cute) It was a lot of fun to do something as quiet and brief as feeding some fish and turtles. Scott took some nice pictures and maybe he will post them for all to enjoy. So, even though it seemed like a big drag to make that drive, I'm glad I got to share the experience with my honey

WOW A little oasis of Calm in the bedlam that was comic con. Sounds like a wonderful moment Caroline. I think Jen would have rather been there with you than trailing around a con with me.

those mind erasers were indeed made with Kahlua (and a buncha other stuff). for some reason i thought they were supposed to taste lemony. i like how OM turned into a giggly little boy after the mind erasers' chaser (or was it the chaser's chaser?).

Caroline, I'm glad the very out of the way detour was memorable.
I was really pissed when they refused to deliver those chips!

Yeah, the pretzel and pretzel dog were pretty nasty... the pretzel tasted like lightly-seasoned cardboard, and the pretzel dog tasted like lightly-seasoned cardboard wrapped around a length of rubber hose. That park sounds really pleasant! It must have been great to find a little spot of nature in the midst of everything...

I was really pissed when they refused to deliver those chips! He was! I thought for sure he'd ban UPS from Legion World! Caroline-- I'm sooo bummed I didn't get the chance to meet you. I guess I'll just have to bum out to Utah sometime or something. But I'm glad you had a good time! You and Scott deserved a vacation. Like, whoa!
