Thank you so much everybody I am so touched by all the wonderful messages and the love from so many great people, my Legion family I'm 47 and yet I am determined not to let the number bother me. I have learned a lot, lost a lot, but most of all been loved a lot and I wouldn't change a thing that got me to who I am today. I have much to be thankful for. Some of you already know that my mother had taken ill on December 21st and has been hospitalized since that day. Scott and I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas by her bedside, as we had much of the time. She has been released from the hospital and is beginning the new year in a care center for (hopefully no more than) 30 days of physical therapy and constant nursing. She had been bleeding internally and received blood transfusions. Finally they found several bleeding ulcers and began treatment. (At least it wasn't colon cancer back) Her diabetes was out of control, and I learned that her long years with the steroid drug prednisone which they were using against her gout and fibro-myalgia nerve condition, makes diabetes worse and harder to control. She will now be a 'fragile diabetic' and we have to learn a whole other routine with up to six injections a day, eeek. But we will deal with it all because she deserves better then this. Anyway, I had a quiet birthday. After we visited mom, Scott took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant for mexican food and margaritas with pomegranate juice liquer floating on it, yum! We came home and watched the new Poseidon Adventure (poor Kurt Russell!) and Scott kissed my socks off at midnight Happy New Year to all, and always keep those you love close. Life and love are very precious.

Sounds great Lad Boy! Is it one of those cozy old family owned bakeries that are dependable and smell wonderful no matter what they are creating for that day? One of those kind of bakeries and a good coffee bar, and it would set my day off perfectly

Thank you for all the good wishes! Much more thanks for all the prayers and thoughts and cards and notes throughout this terrible year. Losing both of my parents, my favorite aunt, my grandmother and several friends in one year has really rocked me emotionally.
