apologized to a friend, she was telling me something and it totally washed over my head till i got off the phone and had a moment to go back over what she said.
i guess it's true, when women are talking to men we listen,..but do we really listen?

found out I do not have tuberculosis (TB). I had to get tested for a possible temp assignment. They test you twice, seven days apart. You get injected with some liquid and go back in 2 days. If there is "a red circle", that is evidence that you have TB. My first test was OK. There was an initial mosquito bite-like bump that went away quickly. In checking 2 days later, the nurse even said "Where did they do the injection?" The second time there was a small red circle where they injected me and it didn't go away. SO I am thinking "Oh No, I have TB" But when the nurse looked at my arm she was "You're fine." I asked about the little red circle. And she said "Oh if it was TB, it would be a big circle and all bubbly." Needless to say, I was relieved.

was in Philadelphia, so I took a swing by the apartment that I lived in 10 years ago.
It's now a coffee shop.
I ordered a coffee from the kid standing in my old kitchen; added some sugar in the corner where I once decorated a Christmas tree for the first time with my future wife; and drank it sitting on a comfy couch in the same spot our bed used to be.
You can't go home again... but if you do, be prepared for it to taste slightly bitter.
