Went swimming. I went two weeks ago, also-- my first time in over two years. My little sister's boyfriend's sister has an inground pool, and I'd been invited previously. I finally decided strength and energy issues be damned, I'd give it a try. I'd read elsewhere how swimming was good exercise for MS; The water helps lower the body's core temp, which can help with nerve conduction and cooling from the exertion, and the bouyancy helps support the body when we're no longer strong enough, like with standing. Anyway, the first attempt was just weird. Much better experience today. My attempts at "walking" were more successful- The first time around I kept kicking one leg into the other. The best part, though? Getting to spend time in the pool with my 5-month old niece, Mackenzie.

She was too busy trying to drink the pool water... chlorine, eeww... But she kicks her little legs like nobody's business... I'm thinking she could make the 2028 Olympic water polo team...

Worked hard retrieving very boring material at the library all day (well it was just the morning but I'm billing for the day). Had lunch at a vegetarian restaurant, and then went shopping to see if there was any good Spring/Summer merchandise still after clear out sales the entire month of July.
Am now reading 200+ pages of material now. Really its just back up for three paragraphs of a report.

Got put through the wringer at work, so much so that I suddenly don't know what my future with this company will be anymore. I'm grateful for Legion World tonight to have as an escape, for sure!

I will, Rocky--it's my nature. But to go in two days 180 degrees from where I thought I stood is pretty rough. We had a Standard Practice Evaluation at my store (kind of like an audit but of business practices moreso than financial), and I was expecting high marks because I'd busted my ass fixing the issues from the last one. They blindsided me by focussing on something altogether different that had only been introduced recently and absolutely BURIED me with it! And all this just before I take a week's vacation starting Saturday! I just hope I can enjoy myself. Appreciate the , though!

You're making me very glad I've made my career in the public sector. Enjoy your vacation, though! You've earned it. And a good vacation can make all the difference--having just come back from the best one I've had in ages, I know!
