Am in the middle of a re-finance on my house (at terms very favorable to me) but just found out that the company I work for is going to lay off 2500 people next year.
And while I don't think I'm in danger of being laid off because I work in a very highly specialized area, it is none the less very worrysome.
Dagnabit, I've been through this type thing too many times already...

discovered my boss actually knows what the legion is - he commented on my flight ring - and is a G force fan (but then, who isnt)
felt bad about non-scanning of various things (sooooooon)
got "Bus-aye" in the bathroom of a bar (I feel so cheap and dirty)

Took the day off from work.
Went to lunch with my best friend and her toddler son who I adore.
Went to see the movie CAPOTE by myself.
Went to the comic book store and used my Xmas gift certificate.
Went to dinner at a restauant I didn't want to go to.
Went to a lesbian bar where I was hit on not only by a gay guy, but a lesbian.
