Another thing with the population is the Coluan lifespan - it's been 300 years, and I think I saw a 600 year span in one of the Levitz issues. That's always a point raised in discussion of Earth longevity - if everyone lives extended lives, where will all the people fit? Someone (?) could probably do the math - if you live 300 years, but still have children in your 20s & 30s, and they have children in their 20s & 30s - how many people are there in 300 years? And if you have the means to support everybody, especially without the need for galactic conquest, well, why not? I'd still like to think there were some Coluan Luddites arguing against this - but if we want the detailed history of Colu, we may have to write it ourselves.
in one of the gide legion books they said coluans live to be just shy of 1,500 hit adult hood and stay that way

so i would imagine that if a colu parents wanted kids they would most likely wait untill they were around 750

i dont think that this colu was very isolated
when the other coluain showed up being able to think on his own brainy didnt looked at all suprized and no seamed the think it was weird that a clouain was walking around.

and the senator seamed to hold a lot a faith in the coluains and people dont really trust people that they dont have contact with

also brainy did say the surrounding planets had a nickname for the planet if they were that isolated how could they have a nickname that was more on the friendly side

[/QB]
So, anything else interesting to do with Colu besides turning the citizens into idiots? [/QB]
it would be cool if they just let the currnet colu people stay stupid and have the the children of the curent colu make a second home world because the kids born wouldn't be stupid right??
