I tend to heat up the bacon separately and put a paper towel under it when I do, so as to keep as much grease off the bread as possible. But you don't get it all.

I like open-faced bacon sandwiches on white bread with just a skosh of butter. Three of those, plus some milk and orange juice, make for a good homemade breakfast Chez STU.

I think I'll have bacon and eggs over easy, a crumpet with butter and honey and a cup of coffee, black.

Today, we have two large batches of brownies, baked by Danny Blaine and Jephers. Help yourselves.
The magic spell cast over the Café will ensure an endless supply, but at midnight the turn into pumpkin cookies.

Ohh! I'd better grab my brownie before I forget later. That and a nice cup of coffee should get me moving after a very busy weekend.
Thanks again, FC!

No brownies for me thanks. This may be heresy, but I'm not a big chocolate fan. I'll just have a half canteloupe with a squeeze of lemon, some cottage cheese and a cup of tea.

What, nobody visited the Cafe all day? Are you all starving yourselves. I'm going to have some of Cramer's famous roast beastie with rosemary roasted potatoes for dinner. Perhaps a nice glass of Schulz-Oles Zinfandel would go nicely. (I may have spelled that wrong.) For desert, a persimmon sorbet.

She lives in the glorious city of New York. Obviously she's having a lot more fun than we are.

Continuing the chocolate theme, we have Arachne's White Chocolate Truffles and Brownies today. For those who enjoy something less sweet, I baked Herbed Parmesan Bread.
All coffee, tea and chocolate is Fair Trade, of course. I oppose the financial exploitation of farmers - and all sentients - everywhere.

I'll have some fresh pancakes. And while they're still piping hot from the griddle, I'll place a couple of these delicious White Chocolate Truffles all over, so that they semi-melt into the pancakes. No need for maple syrup -- mmMMmmmmmm!

Hm, nothing like left over onion rings and coffee for breakfest? Never tried it? Well, it isn't the best on the stomach...

Time for lunch. How about one of those swell scrambled egg sandwhiches with a glass of 1% milk. I'll take that nice table by the window.
