Loyalty is nuanced as well Frio. I would introduce you to Talleyrand but he's dead and my time bubble is out of service. He served France for 4 decades during the revolution.
He betrayed King Louis XVI, the Republic, the Directory, Napoleon, King Louis XVIII and Charles X in turn.
Yet no one could ever say he was disloyal to France. In fact he was so important when he betrayed Napoleon spared Talleyrand.
