The Quiet Wing
This wing of the mansion includes most of the bedrooms. The hallway is lined with sound-muffling oak paneling, and your feet pad soundlessly across a plush rug decorated with a colorful Persian design. Watercolor paintings -- depicting restful nature scenes from the four seasons -- add to the tranquil atmosphere.
Sitting beside the doors of each of the themed bedrooms are ornate mahogany nightstands. If guests of the mansion should become peckish for a midnight snack, they need only ring a bell inside their bedroom, and whatever food or drink they most crave will instantly and magically appear on the nightstand outside their door.

Awesome! I'll be looking forward to it! My term will be over by then, but one of the perks of being LW Leader is getting to keep (tax-free) all the real estate and other property we acquire during the term -- so you should have free run of the mansion!

Well, I'm not sure why you'd want all those handcuffs, nightsticks, and leather uniforms, but sure -- you can keep 'em!

I love the idea of the sound-muffling panels! So I guess I can invite everyone in school for a party and no-one will mind?

Yup. Plus, another benefit of having all the magic is the fact that, no matter how much furniture one's guests may break or how many liquids they may spill on the carpeting during a party, it's all instantly fixed the next morning!

STU, after your term, maybe you could turn the mansion into LW's finest inn. I'm sure your business would be great, and the hijinks would make for interesting reading.

What a great idea!
[crosses fingers] And I can assure you that nothing that goes on in any of the private rooms will ever be videotaped and subsequently broadcast for the enjoyment of the LW masses! [/cross fingers]

I would think that like all the finest establishments, "discretion" would be the policy of the Inn.

This is my 3000th post on Legion World. It took me almost two years to make the same number of posts on the old DC boards! I want to thank everyone here for making these boards so much fun. Posting is easy when you're among friends. I look forward to many more posts with you all in the future!

Thanks, you guys! And while you're here, please feel free to have full run of the kitchen and the mansion's extensive collections of comic books, DVDs, and CDs!

What's all this talk of "reelection"? It's been changed to a life term , y'know.

This administration does not believe in a strict dress code.
You should feel free to wear whatever you wish -- or nothing at all, which I am aware is the preference of a number of posters...

So a birthday suit is acceptable.
Maybe I should wear Chief Justice Rehnquist's Impeachment robe

Isn't it true that Judge Judy is married to the guy who is currently doing People's Court? I'd hate to get in the middle of an argument at their house...
