I think the death of Skyman was a last-ditch attempt to save the series after sales had slumped and give it a darker, grittier tone, exemplified by Michael Bair's illustrations. It didn't work. The Infinitors were the heirs of the JSA and the JSA, like the Legion, is all about hope.
I'm glad that most of the remaining Infinitors are in the JSA now, but it's awful that there are so few left.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

I believe as of the current JLA/JSA teamup that Obsidian is back to normal. The JSA book hasn't caught up to it yet, though.

In my view, I.Inc. really suffered from Roy Thomas' limitations as a storyteller; only a couple of the characters ever really rose above them. I really wanted to like the book and the characters, and did like enough of it to follow much of its run.
Jade was the cream of the crop of those he created. Most of his guys were never much more than cardboard cutouts.
It was a great idea, but never as well executed as one might have hoped.

Well, if an Infinity Inc discussion can't kill this thread... Is it invulnerable?
What is this thread's kryptonite?

I like the idea of the Infinitors as the premiere super-team of the 1980's in the DCU (with no JLA created yet).
The JSA and Infinitors living youthfully in modern times is harder to swallow than a boy from Krypton arriving via a rocket ship.

no. As I recall. SY was invented in name/concept, by Alan Moore, before we ever saw him.
Ted Wass is/was an easily forgotten second-string 70s/80s actor, and an even more forgettable 90s TV director

I will not accept that any more of the JSA should be dead.
This thread is another story.

I shall then engage my attorney, one Quislet Esq., and we shall sue this thread out of existence.
