Wow, and I thought my Mitzi looked different when she got shaved. And since Mitzi's pics seem to be gone:

She is. She's slowed down a lot in the last year, though. She's mostly blind, partly deaf, and has arthritis now, but she's 17 so the vet thinks she's doing really well.

Belinda, Esq. - love the title. But she does look a little grumpy there.
17 year old dog, that seems really old for a dog. Mitzi looks like she's in great shape though. I knew some people with a totally blind dog, and she did just fine, although they never moved the furniture.

I'll bet. It's like, where's her head/face? We had to have the same thing done to our Scardy Cat, too.

But at times she can meow so pitifully pathetic, like she has been trapped in a drainpipe for 20 hours instead of just wanting a treat. The vet called her a "miracle dog". She does seem to run into things a lot, but I think that's how she tells where she is.

Here is Pickles, our puppy daschsund (he's a mini): This was a few months ago and he's a little bigger. He's about maxed out at 13.5 pounds, and he's about 10 months old. I never had a dog before this year and I've got to say, its changed my life--for the better!

Looks mischievous. Why Pickle? And are you going to get it a hot dog costume?

Haha, I love it! My wife got him a bunch of clothes and of course he hates them. He's as mischievous as it gets. Usually always up to causing trouble (but lovable, at least to me )

My father had a minivan and once a month we would go see my aunt and dad would have me drive. Tuca would usually stand between the two front seats. Periodically, she would rest her head on the crook of my elbow. I could feel the weight of her head, but it felt so good.

It makes me feel good about the world to see pet owners and their on-line friends have a soft spot in their hearts for our four-legged friends. Unfortunately, I don't have any digital photos of my own furry little substitute boy (okay, a cat-boy, really), Dusty, to share. He passed away four years ago, but there's not a single day that goes by when I don't think about him. He was so loving and yet so (faux) fierce, with the cutest little pink nose, big green eyes, and beautiful black-and-white tuxedo pelt. I used to affectionately tease him with crazy little nicknames because he reminded me of so many different things: Beast from the East, Pest from the West, Mouth from the South, Little Horse of Course of Course, Bad Boy, Puddy Cat, Catmandu-What-About-You, and even Little Batman (because it looked like he was wearing a cowl and he had largish b/cat ears).
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

People would ask me why I named a girl "Fred." I'd answer, "she's a dog." Her trick was fetch. I'd throw, she'd get it, drop it five feet away and make me come get it. She'd do this three, maybe five times. Then the game would change. When I came to get the stick, she'd pick it up. I'd close, she'd back up. Fred had a snotty streak. Her coup-de-grace, after making me chase her over three acres she'd stop and drop the stick. As I approached, she'd pee. I'd make my move. She'd grab the stick and take off. That dog never run out of pee.

Behold the one and only Butterscotch the Evil. So evil that we created a new classification for her. Felis Catus Diabolus . This is why mr_cleome doesn't get to choose the pets anymore.
Hey, Kids! My "Cranky and Kitschy" collage art is now viewable on DeviantArt! Drop by and tell me that I sent you. *updated often!*

Fred was obviously quite the endearing sweet heart, Blockade Boy. And you can just see Butterscotch cutely plotting evil just by the look in her eyes, Cleome.
Man, I love it when pets have minds of their own.
It's funny that you gave your cat a faux latin name, Cleome, because I did the same thing with Dusty, too: Tin Tinicus (as in "tiny) because he was so small when he was a kitten, and Odious Maximus just to tease him because he was anything but odious.

I was thinking the same thing, Arachne. That pic of Belinda could be turned into a most awesome macro.

Cracked up when I saw (the evil cat named) Butterscotch. She looks like she can cut a tree in half with just a glance.
