Thanks, everybody.
Nice low-key celebration this year: an early dinner at a small family-run Italian place (and yes, I did order pizza) followed by cake, ice cream, and presents at my parents' condo; we went our own ways early, since tomorrow's a workday.
Each year, I feel a little bit less self-conscious about my refusal to grow up. And that feels good.

I took the day off so that my mom and I could have a nice leisurely birthday lunch out at a local landmark. Besides, I don't like going out at night.
I got together with my friends last weekend, and will be getting together with both my parents this weekend for the cake and candles.

I see there was a 2007 thread... somehow we missed last year.  I was studying for finals and writing papers this time last year, as Newfoundland finished up in early April. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
