i was trying to use the yiddish? word trafe. y'know ham sandwiches, fish without fins and scales, birds of prey, vermin, etc. ie not Kosher.

I quite surprised a Jewish genius colleague once by using the word traf in casual conversation.

Hee. It's been... different in different parts of California. Pretty warm toward the south, hazy mornings on the coast, few thunderstorms in the north and foggy all the time around the bay.

Well, actually, it was my vacation that got in the way for the most part. What with the no 'net and all that jazz. School's just an easier excuse. It started just this last Thursday. Gonna be a loooong quarter.

I'll be in L.A. with an overnight on Catalina Island. I just looked up the weather and it's going to be cloudy/showers when I'm on Catalina ... but the rest of my time in L.A. should be sunny and around 80, so that'll be nice.
