Any recommendations for things to do? Fav restaurant? How's the casino? I'm really psyched to get out there. Yeah, I really hope the weather holds up at least during the daytime.

[edit: thanks for answering my questions Cali! I'll let you know how it goes smile ]

I heard some interesting things about Catalina through watching "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss" - is it a popular spot amongst the gay community like Fire Island and Key West?

I can't say anything about its popularity amongst the gay community, but Catalina was awesome! I could've spent the whole week there -- for such a little slip of a town, there's really no end of things to do (or eat! I had the cheesiest cheese-dog I've ever had in my life!)

Thanks for the recommendation Cali! We went to Armstrong's, sat by the water eating fish & chips and drank a nice cold beer -- it was great! I can see why you go there every year -- next time I'm *so* doing the parasailing! laugh

Ohmigosh!! I've done parasailing before -- it's the best!! laugh I'm sooo glad you had fun. Armstrong's is definitely one of my favorite restaraunts of all times, not just on Catalina. Good food and good memories -- what more could a girl want??

LAM, I have zero idea about gays on Catalina. I go with my family every year and have never noticed the gays while locals hit on me. wink Juuuust kidding. But I honestly don't know anything about that scene there.

Remember : It's not technically a suckerpunch if you yell ''DEFEND YOURSELF SPROCKER!'' two seconds before you let him have it.
