<Sam walks into the old Fixit Shop area, which has over the years turned into a storehouse for unusual items, kind of a mini-warehouse 13. His eyes are drawn to a dust covered dagger in a highly ornate sheath.>

Brit, you in here, Babe?

<He reaches out towards the dagger but inexplicably his hand just stops a few inches away from it.>

<Brit walks up behind sam as he repeatedly tries and fails to pick up the ornate dagger.>

Ohmygod, Sam! That must be one of the items Gram Warded. Some of the stuff in this room is like dangerous. So Gram put spells on the most dangerous items to prevent people from unknowingly releaseing the evil magic or some junk like that.

<Brit brushes the dust off of a small card next to the dagger>

Ohmygod! It says here the blade was made on Ventura about 2000 years ago. It's name is Wyrmsbayne and it's made of Mythrial Silver.

That dagger looks... I don't know... intriguing... or maybe sinister? That jewel in the handle is a Venturan Blood Emerald.

And what kind of leather is that sheath?

Ohmygod, the card says Dragon Heart Leather...

Dragon Heart? I didn't know there were Dragons on Ventura.

<Turns away from the shelf and puts his arms around Brit>

Tony and My want us to meet them at Cramers... You up for a night out?

<Slides her arms around Sam's neck and pulls his head down for a quick kiss>

Yeah, I could use a quiet night with you guys... Let's Go!

<Sam turns to leave and Brit's arms slide down his until she slips her left hand into his right. Hers eyes are drawn back to Wyrmsbayne. She reaches out with her right hand and her fingers brush the Blood Emerald set in the dagger's handle. Before she can react Sam is gently pulling her toward the door...>

As Brit turns to leave she fails to see the jewel start to glow. Silently and without fuss the dagger vanishes

<Suddenly an old-fashioned type writer begins typing without rhyme or reason>

Jeebus H Christmas! I thought Ranger was kidding when he said that relic was the most secure form of communications in the universe.

<Drops the paper into a disintgration shredder and picks up her omnicom>

Bart? The kid called. He wants delivery, soonest. Arrangements to follow. I'm going to visit Brit & verify that last item has arrived.

Dev surveyed the area. He was clear, and really...who would think to look here for him.

He landed and entered the front door. "Is anyone here?" he said as he looked around.

Step into the conference room, and have a seat while I make some coffee.

Ranger had to make a quick stop at the Rookery to drop off your brother and the others. He'll be here shortly.

<Returns with a tray of coffee and some Daxamite Pastries.>

<Puts a copy of the data package Ranger gave Cobie into a viewer>

Dev, Bart and Cobie both think you should see this...

<Dev takes s sip of his coffee.>

<Looks to Space Ranger.>

That woman packs quite a whallop. I hate magic...I haven't felt like this in ages.

<While talking, he turns his gaze to the viewer.>

<Dev finished watching the data. He sits for a short time not saying anything.>

<Space Ranger just nodded affirmative.>

<Dev leanedhis chair back on it's rear legs and laced his hands behind his head. After a moment, he rubbed his face and stood.>

I'll go meet with Cobie then. I'm guessing he went to the only place that Lardy is gonna think more than twice about trying to storm.

<Space Ranger just nodded again.>

I'll meet you there then.

<Dev walked over to Space Ranger and shook his hand.>

<With that, he said goodbye to My Whee Fem and left the building flying off in a random direction.>

<Ranger silently watches Dev fly off then turns his attention back to the viewscreen. After replaying a single scene several times he hit's the intercom.>

Boss she came to the same conclusion that you and Cobie did. She just did it about two weeks ago. So she's been getting ready for the inevitable showdown.

So she's been taking what she considers to be reasonable precautions, making sure his likely targets are protected, and yes that includes you, and getting herself ready to go hunting...
