I saw here feet and shins on the 2-page spread in L3W -- so I'm guessing that was a past version of the character.

Johns alluded that she was sent bac in time just prior to the Action Comics arc -- so that helped explain her appearance in tht Dr. Thirteen mini-series (forgetting the actual name of it at the moment).

I'm guessing she'll be part of the SUBs again -- eventually. Maybe the rest of them will finally become full-fledge members along with Night Girl and Polar Boy.

She is such a fantastically-designed character with very original powers, that it's a shame she didn't get more use. I think it'd be a fitting tribute to Dave Cockrum to have her finally be a Legionnaire.

I'm sure in some continuity she is. Probably the "Reverse Earth" or the "We Don't Take Anything Seriously" Earth. To me it's not so important that she be a Legionnaire, though I'm not adverse, but I would like her situation to be at worst as it was 5YL.

Those sent into the past, some of them were supposed to deal with some disease?

Was this addressed in any book or is it TBD?

I think she rocked in 5YL. Wasn't she a full member then? Course it was a little hard to tell as they were pretty loose on membership and such in that era.

I still don't get how Night Girl can be a member given her limitation. Does she carry a super-parasol with her wherever she goes or what?

Not to get too OT but, didn't they explain that her power is somewhat the reverse of Supes? He doesn't immediately lose his powers out of the yellow sun. Maybe she doesn't lose hers immediately when in it.

Drura is in the 21st century as is tellus and Starman/ Boy.

Hopefully they will all meet up (using Tellus' telepathy perhaps) and come back to the 31st C together soon.

In Lo3W Night Girl stated that she was getting stronger as she punched out shadow demons so I think Geoff Johns is trying to beef her up. At the end of #5 (page 21) she was carrying a huge (and presumably extremely heavy) globe in sunlight.

Wow! I didn't know Drura was in the past.
I adore her and can hardly wait for her to show up.

She was originally kept out of the Legion because of lack of control over her powers.
As an adult, she could/should have developed enuogh control to be a real asset.

In 5YL, she was a wife but also a member of the healing community, if I remember correctly ~ do I really remember scenes between her and Kent Shakespeare?

I love the idea of Lydda being like Supes, a battery who's powered up more and more, as an adult.
HE never seems to loose his powers at night, so why does she have to in the day as long as she recharges regularly.

I've read about and seen in movies, some really powerful plant adapts over the last few years.
I can see Chlorophyll Kid coming into his own as an adult, too.
And Fire Lad, especially if he's taken into the power area of warmth and life with fire and not just it's destructive abilites.

Actually, I guess Stone Boy and PPete are the only two who might not mature into a 'kick butt' Legionnaire.

I know some's objection to subs being used for comedy but I'd really like to see a writer tackle a date between Chlorophyll Kid, the classic shy one, and Poison Ivy.

Is Doctor 13 considered canon? If so, she is on the 21st Century indeed.

I wished we had seen more of her in LO3W, her feet really aren't doing it for me. I can understand why, her costume is murder to draw, much less color and ink.

Hopefully we will see more of her and the other legionaires who weren't present in these Adventure back-ups, but I am expecting to see more of the same cast from the Action storyline.

I do not know who 'Doctor 13' is.
Or who he's associated with ~ is he JSA?

The Lightning Saga Legion is the same as the Action Legion, right?

So, we've got Sensor (missing), Dawny, Drake, Thom (someday he'll be back), and Garth .
Karate Kid died.
Una died but her last self is now 'Lotta Lu'.

We got BB, Lar, Shady, Cos, Brainy, Gates, XS, Imra, Vi, Brek, Sunny, Invisible Kid II, PG, Jo, Blok, Wolf and Ayla.

ELad, Dreamy, Cham, Tyroc, MEL, and Quislet are all still missing, too.

And Mysa is anyone's guess.

I saw Lydda in #3, but I don't recall and can't find the others.

Geoff's Legion could use Drura and the other subs.

For those who don't know, this is Doctor 13 . Highly recommended, especially for those who enjoy offbeat comic books and the 5YG era.

First and foremost, I just love the design of the character. And I think her full membership would add to the Legion's diversity of looks. Dave Cockrum wanted to introduce more alien-looking characters to the Legion way back in the early 70s but it took until the mid80s for it to really happen with Tellus.

Now, I guess Drura isn't that different from Chameleon Boy except for her skin pigmentation (or lack thereof). But the drippy, web like stuff on her arms (her costume?) really added a nice touch.

no. She was married to Jacques. And it worked - they made a great duo.

I think the 'tossed into the time-stream' quote was supposed to make Dr 13 canon. though in that series Drura describes herself as being a former member of the LSH. Hmmm a flashback coming possibly.

That 5YG stuff they reprinted with the two of them in Major Spoilers absolutely melted my heart.
