What does talking like the Bronze Age Hulk have to do with They Might Be Giants' theme song for...um...a TV show I can't remember the name of?

I was coming home from work - It could happen! And my house was gone. I thought "It's my fault for leaving it out in the open!" I said "Bosco, it was laughing WITH you!" Some people have no concept of reality!

"Bastich" and other mangled swear words are a running gag in the 1984 Michael Keaton movie Johnny Dangerously in which a gangster uses them repeatedly. He also says things like "cork soaker" and "ice hole".

I was haunted for years by a scene in one of those tacky Lifetime-esq suspense TV epics: Somebody died by being pushed into the water while ice-fishing.

I don't live in a climate where there's ice-fishing, and I never have. So why it bothered me so much is anyone's guess.

I lost all interest in Lifetime when they dropped reruns of The Golden Girls.

A year or two back, I was on another fan board where somebody suggested that every fandom needs to have a fanfic that crosses over with The Golden Girls. So now I'm totally wondering what would happen if the Legion Lost crew all went to hang out in Florida for a while...
