What does talking like the Bronze Age Hulk have to do with They Might Be Giants' theme song for...um...a TV show I can't remember the name of?

"Giants" + "Hulk" would be my guess.
(The show was Malcolm In The Middle, BTW.)

Oh. Thanks, Cleome.
I never liked that show. It was too realistic.

Actually, it was Nam'Lor's comment about causing people to do things. So I needed to assert that he's not the boss of me now.

Judy Tenuta routine:
Date: You'd have more respect for me if you knew what I do. Judy: So what do you do? Date: I...am...a...criminal lawyer! Judy: Oh! not toooo redundant!

Another Judy Tenuta routine:
"Guess what, guess what? I'm dating the Pope! (pause) NAAAAAH, I'm just using him to get to God!"
And another:
"My Dad used to make hot dog soup. He'd boil the hot dogs, and then he'd eat the hot dogs and leave the water for the rest of us."

I heard that one as "My dad would make us hot dog soup. That where you boil some hot dogs and then drink the juice."
Another one I like is"
Don't you hate when you're walking down the street and you see someone approaching you from your past and you don't want to talk to them. So you re-arrangeyour DNA. But they recognize you anyway. And they say "Ju-dy, were you going to walk by me without saying 'Hello"?" And I said "No Mom!"

I also like when she says:
"PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER...and they do it. And people wonder how Hitler got elected?"
And then she sings part of "High Hopes," pausing to hack up some phlegm.

I was coming home from work - It could happen! And my house was gone. I thought "It's my fault for leaving it out in the open!" There were all these firemen around and they said "Your brother Bosco burnt the house down!" So I said "Bosco, why'd you torched the house?" "It was laughing at me!" I said "Bosco, it was laughing WITH you!" Some people have no concept of reality!

When VH1 did a Behind the Music episode about Weird Al Yankovic, one of the people interviewed was Judy Tenuta, a friend of Al's, who confessed, "I had to bring him down from a heavy tiramisu high once."

I had a friend once who came up with a "gay test". If a man could define "tiramisu" and "tea cozy", he must be gay.

There was an episode of Top Cat in which one of the cats reads a book he calls Under a Bridge With Dick and Harry. It, of course, was an unabridged dictionary.

Didja hear the one about a 1970s Attenborough WW2 movie edited down so far that it made no sense at all? It was Abridged Too Far.

"Bastich" and other mangled swear words are a running gag in the 1984 Michael Keaton movie Johnny Dangerously in which a gangster uses them repeatedly. He also says things like "cork soaker" and "ice hole".

I was haunted for years by a scene in one of those tacky Lifetime-esq suspense TV epics: Somebody died by being pushed into the water while ice-fishing. I don't live in a climate where there's ice-fishing, and I never have. So why it bothered me so much is anyone's guess.

I lost all interest in Lifetime when they dropped reruns of The Golden Girls.

A year or two back, I was on another fan board where somebody suggested that every fandom needs to have a fanfic that crosses over with The Golden Girls. So now I'm totally wondering what would happen if the Legion Lost crew all went to hang out in Florida for a while...
