...called to reschedule a dental appointment. When I called I said "I need to change my appointment." I didn't give my name or id number. The woman on the other end offered me some dates. When I got one I liked, she said "OK" I then asked "Don't you need my name?" And she replied "This is Mr. Ploski, right?" Their phone recognized my phone number and pulled up my record on her computer automatically.

It is kind of cool and scary at the same time.

...shaved a digit off of my mortgage! My debt is finally at a level I can actually conceptualize.

...wasted valuable time doing other people's work instead of my own.

... woke up with a tummy ache

...go to the Greek Festival. Time to chow down on everything that's bad for me, and groove to the music and dancing, too!

... rode 8 miles on the stationary bike and ran 2 miles on the treadmill. At least that is what those machines told me.

...got his mood lifted by picking up his zoot-suit tuxedo he rented for the wedding he's the bestman in Sunday and playing karaoke video games with friends.

... bought a heavy cardigan sweater and a bathing suit.

...saw a bunch of full run 80's comic auctions on ebay priced at 99 cents each... and went hog wild.

I nabbed the entire series of Arion, both full Amethyst series, the full 80's Dr. Fate series (along with the Giffen miniseries), the full run of Karate Kid, and the full DC Challenge (I know... I know, but I've always been curious about it)... all for under $10!

...was reminded by Ex's post that yesterday I found a pristine copy of Avengers #79 for under $10.

Blew what could have been my cheap comics budget on the water bill, the internet bill, the doctor bill, the... <span style="font-size: 11px;">blah blah blah</span> <span style="font-size: 10px;">whine fishcakes blah...</span>

... I got an e-mail from Vicki Smoot. The e-mail read: My name is Captain Matthew Stamford of the US Marine corps stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan, I found some money stashed in a couple of barrels while on patrol ($2,000,000.00) I need someone to help me move it to a safer place, please have it in mind that there is no danger involved.

He provides an email adress that ends @yahoo.com.hk

...got a haircut, and now I'm shaving before I head to a friends party later.

...am hoping to get a lot done over this extended weekend. We'll see how it goes.

... swam in the pool at my gym.

...picked up some old comic boxes from a friend.

...am writing and making some (halting) progress on The Fic That Won't Die™. The Sid is sleeping contentedly in my lap and purring, instead of tearing around the house causing various types of mayhem. And my foot doesn't even hurt.

All this is surely a sign that the Apocalypse is close at hand. Don't say that I didn't try to warn you...
