went to a lecture at my public library called "Looking at Literature through the Cartoon Medium" ... it was a visual history of comic book adaptations of classic literature ... very cool stuff ... the lecturer, Robert Sikoryak, has a collection out called "Masterpiece Comics," which includes a parody of Camus' "The Stranger" featuring Superman and "Crime and Punishment" featuring Batman and the Joker as the pawnbroker ...
