watched Glee

..enjoyed the weather.

...went to 2 doctors appointments, took my grandma to lunch, and did some shopping.

...saw my older son's progress report: 5 A's and a B, yo!

...had a few beers with a longtime friend who stopped by my town this afternoon. It'd been several months and was enjoyable.

...closed my eyes, gripped the arms of the dental chair tightly and thought, "Wow, as much as I am hating this right now, I think I would hate it more to actually be the hygienist."

wasted the whole day.

...went to a fabulous choir party.

... am 99.9% certain that I must have misunderstood what that convenience store clerk said as he was ringing me up.

I reflexively said, "No, thanks," having long adopted a non-thinking response to any point of purchase offers, but then, as he bagged up my items, my conscious mind caught up to my instincts and thought, "Wait... what did he just say? Did he just ask me if I wanted "The Fire Monkey Special"? He couldn't have said that... could he? What on earth does that even mean?"

Admittedly, he was a bit of a mutterer, and I was only half-listening but, as I grabbed my bag and exited the store, I sort of mentally kicked myself for not asking him to repeat what he had said.

What if, for a limited time only, along with my cigarettes and Iced Tea, I could have had, at no extra cost, a genuine "Fire Monkey"? True... I don't know what that is, but damn if I wouldn't want to find out.

An opportunity squandered, and a cautionary tale if ever there were one.

...got roped into helping my Aunt and Uncle move. Got home about a half hour ago...11:30 pm, my time. Started at 3 this afternoon.

...boxed up a million billion pieces of useless crap.

...am working a double-shift and perhaps going out to celebrate a friends 21st b-day later (even though we did some already last night/this morning).

...need to finish the bathroom floor. Finished Kitchen yesterday, and started bathroom. Peel and stick tiles dontcha know.

...left work an hour early and, within minutes, got looped into an "all hands on deck" conference call (that I'm still on!) I just can't get away.

...answered queastions for a census worker, because someone in my house never sent in the survey. She filled it out though....not sure where it went to.
