...rewatched Fincher's "Zodiac". You know, its a pretty entertaining movie! I like it quite a lot and recommend it.

I've been slightly obsessed with serial killers since I was a preteen. Not that I think they're cool, mind you, but the idea of catching them. I was a criminal justice minor and one of the many jobs I one day wanted was FBI Profiler for serial killers. I own a lot of crime text books, with an inordinate amount of serial killer books. My wife just shakes her head. My roommates--back when I had girl roommates I wasn't married to--used to find it weird when I'd leave a text on Zodiac or Charles Manson in the bathroom.

... took in a local comic convention. It was very small, just a few dealers and a handful of artists, but I was able to pick up the entire pre-Shooter 3-boot run for $10, heard Walt and Louise Simonson talk some comic history, and met the lead fellow from the Legion of Substitute Podcasters (nice guy), so... day well spent.

...didn't do much, was pretty hungover from drinking last night.

Fixed this recipe in honor of the first official outdoor cooking day of Spring. It rocked.

...put together the baby's stroller. I'm getting pretty good at putting together all this stuff!

...got yelled at by my boss because I got 19 frickin' minutes of overtime last week.

...have no ambition, and about three dozen other things I should be doing right now.

At my temporary Census job they said there is no overtime and if by chance you work more than 40 hours in a week (and thus get overtime) you will be terminated.

Ordered a commission of Matter-Eater Lad dressed as Divine.

...skimmed through the latest (though, in the UK, last month's) issues of Q and Mojo at Barnes & Noble. They both had excellent cover stories (on Lady Gaga and Peter Gabriel, respectively.)

...found out I'll make an extra $1.50 an hour because I got my 4th class steam ticket

I'll bite. What's a fourth class steam ticket?

Let's me work with high pressure boilers and whatnot. Specifically for my job I'll be working with steamboilers to seperate H2S gas from bitumen and then recover the sulfur from the gas.

...got up on time rather than hang around with Pickles (my dog) on the couch for an extra 10 minutes. Begrudgingly.

...got to destroy the door knob mechanism on my sons bedroom door.

He has a new game of shutting his door and calling for mom until one of us lets him out. Well he decided to see what the little thing was on the knob (the lock) and locked himself in. Took a few minutes, but he was in good spirits the whole time. Time for a new door lock for Jon Em. One without a locking mechanism.

...created a profile on "linkedin" per the request of my boss. I didn't really want to but as a broker, I need to be available and create the illusion of interacting with clients.

I've decided I won't add any 'real friends' unless they are pure business people. I like to keep work and my personal life completely seperate--like two entirely different worlds. I've always been like that.
