...have another earworm that's a much better song, except I'm going crazy trying to remember the title.

...am procastinating calling someone I've never met before for a potential new business opportunity. Even being a people person, its still always weird calling someone you don't know out of the blue. Especially if you're trying to sell something. I love making deals, but I hate when there are moments where I have to be a salesman the old fashioned way.

... am spending my third evening at the hospital with Mrs. Nihil. We were hiking a couple of weeks ago and she got a small cut on her hand; unfortunately it wound up opening the door for a staph infection which has spread through her arm and ballooned it up to like twice its size (a reference for the "Lost" fans on the board... she is good spirits and jokingly refers to it as her "Hurley arm").

The prognosis is good, though. Luckily, the infection didn't get into the bloodstream, and she's starting to respond to the antibiotics. Hopefully she'll be home soon, but this is Day 3 of her hospital stay, and there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your loved one suffering.

Wow, a ton of to you, Ex! I'm glad she's doing okay, but it certainly sounds like an ordeal you guys have gone through!

...joined Cobie in wishing Ex and Mrs. Nihil well.

...created a Facebook account, finally. Guess I'm in 2009 now. Or is Twitter taking over?

...am so happy that my wife is getting released from the hospital! Seven days + six nights = worst week ever.

Glad that Mrs. Exnihil is getting out of the hospital. Sorry to hear that she was in there to begin with.

...am also happy to hear Mrs. Exnihil is recovering and am a bit freaked out, having just finished a book Pandemonium about the explosion of all these increasingly drug-resistant nasty bugs in our environment.

...finished my baking for the potluck with time to spare. Didn't stress. Actually made us some breakfast in between batches of cookies* so we wouldn't be hopped up on sugar and ready to eat the furniture by the dinner hour.

This is in marked contrast to most years, including last year, when I was too depressed to do anything but buy cookies at the store. All day, mr_cleome has been shooting me that "Who-are-you-and-what-have-you-done-with-my-wife" look. I'm not sure I blame him.

...ate too much and took a long walk to try to make up for it.
