...have a sore throat and feverish eyes... get that "zing" feeling when I look around too fast.

And yesterday was so awesome, too... Congratulations to my friends Tony and Karen on their beautiful Rennaissance-style Wedding!

....remembered to reset the clock.

That might be the only thing I accomplish today.

...would really like to finish raking leaves AND get some writing done before noon.

What can I say? Deep down I'm an optimist. It's horrible.

Dagnabbit I knew I forgot something

...am recovering from a doctors visit in which he basically confirmed I've mistreated my body tremendously in my 20's and now need to start being more healthy hereafter. But, being a good doctor, he did it by scaring the hell out of me!

...got sent home from work early. They ran out of yuppiewear for us to re-ticket.

...got my car back from the shop today after 5 days. It cost $2,000 to fix it so it wouldn't make that strange rattling/clicking/tapping sound. Luckily, it was still (barely) under warranty. The rental car they paid for me to use reeked of cigarette smoke.

...saw a friend of mine is preparing to do a "Swine Flu Fake Out" to get a few sick days in, claiming "we all need to take advantage of it while we can".

I admit it did make me smile even though the chance I'd do something like that has long passed.

...still don't have Swine Flu. Nor do the spouse or the cat. Whew!

... had two - count 'em: two - job interviews and think I nailed them both. Another one coming up on Wednesday.

I saw somewhere a cat DID catch the H1N1 virus...

Yep. I keep hoping that it'll end up in Snopes' "debunked" column, though.

... am debating whether to go to a breakfast thing at 6:30 am tomorrow.

...am in the last throes of a cold and I sound like Suzanne Pleshette.

... bought toilet paper.

...took my wife's place in her bowling league with my son because she had a headache.

... lost all faith in a logical and orderly universe, as the very same company that laid me off two weeks ago, called me today and offered me my own job back (now assigned to a different division) at a 10% raise.



I start Tuesday.

...am kind of where Exnihil is opinion-on-the-universe-wise. Except replace job rehire and raise stuff with, "Why did I make more this week when my partial week of earning a wage was supplemented by Unemployment than I do during weeks where there's no earned wage at all and Unemployment has to cover the whole week? [deep breath] What do those people smoke, anyway?"

...dropped my 12-year old off at a school dance. H-he's growing so FAST......

... listened to the Wizard of Oz soundtrack.

...am going to a blood drive in the morning, possibly a book sale in the afternoon.

... stayed in from the remanents of Ida

...threw a bithday party for my son and ate TOO much.

...found a cool used record store.

...have an earworm, which I won't specify for fear of passing it on to others.
